ALCANADA 35 Restaurante — Restaurant in Alcúdia

Good time of the day! My friend and I have just visited this restaurant (recommendation from our host). We have planned it for the last evening of our stay in Alcúdia, since the reviews were so good. The food was ok. The main dish (plate with fish and grilled octopus) was tasty, too much salt in my opinion. My friends pasta was overcooked. But the worst part of the experience was a service. We were offered a table for two when there were empty tables for four with a nice view. When the table became empty we’ve asked for a change, but the waitress told us it is not possible, that it is booked for 4. there was indeed a couple who entered the restaurant, spoke smth in Spanish and got this table. There were two people and when their meal arrived, they were still two. Our waitress was unfriendly, she was not communicating except for 1-2 words, no smiling, no asking about the food and etc. We did not feel welcome in there and rushed to leave the place. Another obstacle - bill arrived after 10 mins and a reminder. The waitress threw a bill on the table and left before I could even say „I’d like to pay with card“.

I would recommend to work on the service. Every „non-fancy“ tapas bar would serve their customer with so much more...

To start, absolutely shocking service, no order was taken for at least 20 minutes. Server tried to take our menu before we had ordered, the food did arrive , however was quite disappointed with the product. Padron peppers had no salt, patatas bravas was essentially chips with a little bit of sauce in a pot. We could of accepted this normally however due to the fact that not once did the staff ask if the meal was okay along with the fact that I had to grab our own salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, olive oil etc. The whole time we were made to feel like we were not welcome. To top it off when we gave them the money for the meal they didn't even ask if we wanted change just assumed that we were tipping. At least give us the change so then we can leave it as a tip instead of just keeping it, although unfortunately wouldn't of left a tip in such...

We went to the restaurant it was 17.35 pm, on google it states restaurant is open and it has good reviews, well not for us! On the table were 4 people sitting (we asked them is it open, they said yes come, come on in), we passed to the back of restaurant and meet with very rude waitress!!!! No greeting and carried on doing whatever in the kitchen, my wife tried to explain to her why we were there and she don’t even look at us or offer for us to wait or even have a drink until the kitchen opened at 6.
