Update 17 June 2022: Ate here again tonight. This time the service quality has slipped noticeably. I checked other people's reviews and see many similar comments. I continue to enjoy the food and of course the views, so it's a shame the service has become poor. It seems it would be so easy to fix with some attention to detail. Specific complaints: we arrived with reservation and they at first refused to give us a table in the restaurant. I asked if the menu in the bistro is the same and they said yes. I asked why can't we get a table in the restaurant and they said others reserved first. I showed them an email they sent me confirming a table in the restaurant. It turns out they put only my first name on their paper reservation records even though they had my full name from the online reservation system. So... Why lie to me and tell me others reserved first and try to put me in the bistro when the fact was they could not find my reservation? It would have been simpler and honest to tell the truth and work out the problem. Second why lie and tell me the menu is the same when it isn't? Other complaints: grabbed our empty water bottle from the table without asking if we wanted another. Took my empty wine glass without asking if I want another. My date can't eat pepper. We ordered the same dish but hers came without one of the included sides, presumably because it was prepared with pepper. But they didn't give any explanation it was just missing. If it were my restaurant I would have offered an alternative. Easily done they offer so many sides with different dishes. And if course the service is slow and inattentive. That I knew and don't mind much when I'm on vacation and not in such a rush. I would have minded even less with a second glass of wine 😉. I've been eating here for decades and enjoy the tradition. Respectfully, please improve your service.... So many have complained and it would seem easy to do for a family owned and operated restaurant. Don't let people leave thinking they fell for the beautiful location trick!
I've enjoyed reading at this family owned restaurant many times over the years. Great food and...

Returned today 5th of August 2023 for lunch. Had forgotten that I had posted previously 3 years ago. So we will add our experience today. Please note we are local residents living in Mallorca for the past 5 years.
Today we waited for a beer accompanied by a "gilda" basically olive / anchovy / green spicy pepper on a toothpick for 30+ minutes. No desire to stay for lunch after this.
But to relay what might be important for those of you on vacation in the North of Mallorca: This place has a fabulous view indeed, but their approach to the "tourist sector" is: cheap food at cost for them, expensive prices passed on to you, and minimal service... the attitude is: "we don´t care, we do just fine with one time tourists for the summer months, don't bother us"
Please note these comments pertain to the outside terrace. The restaurant indoors is properly staffed, with "acceptable food" at 100 euros per person w/o wine.
We have been to the restaurant many times at 150euro + per person but given the general attitude outside at the "Bistro Terraza" where the owner did not care to even offer a solution you should be aware:
Nothing worse than a restaurant that "does no care one bit for their customers" (they do care for locals off-season sure) but this critic is directed to visitors , in summer who maybe want to avoid bad service and ridiculous prices.
As a footnote: a really nice Swedish lady who overheard my conversation with the owner and told us outside:
"My fish was 38 euros and dry as cardboard".
Plenty of much better options. Enjoy your stay...
Read moreThe experience was poor from the very entrance. We arrived there first and the staff decided to sit at the table the clients that were behind us. From what I know, the first one there is the first who should be taken care of. I called for two times to make sure that I had a reservation and that they reserved a table next to the sea since we wanted to admire the view (it being a very special night for our couple) but instead when we arrived they seated us in the very middle of the restaurant. There were tables available next to the sea and they remained empty up until we left. We asked for that table and they did not want to give it to us. The waiters ignored us the entire time. The manager was rude and unprofessional regarding the order. We asked some questions about the dishes and he answered in a rude manner. Then when the food came, he even mocked us for the questions. We needed two more minutes to decide on what we were going to order and they came in a lot more later, leaving us with nothing on the table. They did not bother to bring at least plates for the entrees so that we could share them (the other tables having plates). As we finished the food, the waiters did not bother to take the plates off the table; and we even had to ask one of them to do so since we wanted to stay for one more glass to celebrate our special night. They should know how to treat clients, them being young or old, since we are all clients and should be all treated the same way. We are a very respectable couple and this is the first time something like this happens to us. Even a fastfood restaurant would treat you better, regardless of your age. I would suggest that they improve their manners, how to respect a client and how to take care of the client. Restaurant- beautiful. Food- quite good. Drinks-...
