Hidalgo has accommodation but we went there just to use the restaurant because it had been recommended to us by locals (always a good sign!). We had a truly excellent meal. Three of us had swordfish, and thought that it was the best that we have ever had (swordfish, if sliced too thin can dry out), two had lamb (and struggled to get through it because the serving was so big, even though they said that it was really tender and juicy), whilst one had pork and, again, was highly complimentary. We had three courses, three rounds of drinks and had, for six people, a bill of just over €180. If we had had gone for cheaper things on the menu, I'm sure that would have been halved. For example, the croquetas came in at €7 compared with the swordfish as €22. Just pay as much as you want, and choose accordingly. And make sure ti visit the castillo as well! This little hotel is frequented by traveling business people, so this is the real deal, no tourists here. Double room $40E, generous meal and wine servings, plus they sell some olive oil products in the...
