A hidden gem in the mountains above la cala de mijas and Fuengirola. The boma is located beside the big roundabout between Cóin and Alhaurin de grande. Runed by a Southafrican with staff from all over the world. The kitchen is inspired from this cross-over. There are lots of interesting dishes from all over the world. We definitely will become regular guests here. And the staff are very attentive and in a good mood. It's definitely a place you need to visit when you are nearby. And the area is really nice for hiking as well.

What an amazing experience. We were staying in a villa close by and it worked out to be a 15 minutes walk. We stopped on the way back one night and all tried the South African chicken curry which was amazing so tasty. We then booked the Easter Thursday and enjoyed a 3 course meal. All was amazing and delicious! We would 100% recommend the lovely restaurant. Amazing service and the most friendly staff. Thank you so much.

The menu let's this place down and unfortunately the food didn't wow us. The staff and their professionalism was faultless, very friendly and helpful. It was lovely to be served how we did, but for us every meal our party had was just OK. I had the Boerewors burger which for me was absolutely nothing special. It was plain, unimaginative, small and very basic dish. Apart from a handful of sautéed potatoes, there was nothing else to the dish. No pickles, no coleslaw, no onion rings, no sweetcorn cob nothing. Could have had a bit more effort in that. My wife's pasta was again very basic, something anyone knocks up at home. The mother in-law's cod looked OK, and she said it was OK, but again... Nothing special. Sunday roasts were on the menu but no mention that these were only available on a Sunday. Surprised these are on the menu and not on a specials menu for just a Sunday. The waitress even said a lot of people ask for a roast on anouther day because of this. Carpark very tight and small. OK place but we left feeling rather underwhelmed. Really surprised it scores rather high in...

The setting is very nice and the staff are extremely pleasant. I would have given a 5 star review had the food been up to scratch. The menu wasn't plentiful and the portions less so. For the price seems expensive, the fish pie was not as it seems and no mention of the bulked out salmon that was more evident than the remainder of the fish ingredients on the menu for that particular dish.... All in all a good venue and very quick response from the staff for frequent drinks whilst waiting for the...
