Great find in Alicante, out of the touristy area. The food was good and very well priced. We payed around 40 euros for two people, with three starters and the house wine. Great value.. We found this place randomly and when we entered I was reluctant to stay as it was empty. I checked the reviews on google and decided to take a chance - it was well worth it. Slowly, people starting showing up and I discovered that this is where the locals eat - it got full before I blinked. I think we arrived just when it opened.
The guy doesn’t speak much english but we managed to get along with some basic Spanish.. We ordered the marinated octopus salad as an appetiser, a dorada cooked with vinegar and garlic; and grilled calamari which were so tender, cooked to perfection. Read moreUna gran decepción, para empezar nos pusieron unos cacahuetes en un platito de olivas diminuto, el resto de mesas tuvieron plato grande, la sepia a la plancha nada más llegar olía a agrio, se había pasado en la nevera claramente, la probamos pero sabía y olía rara aunque también hay que decir que no la cobraron, por ahí bien, en cuanto al pulpo a la gallega era carpaccio de pulpo super fino, lo era tanto que se curvaba, nunca lo comí tan fino, habría pagado 10€ más pero con un corte más generoso ya que venía sin patata, en cuanto a la coca cola venía con una mini rodaja de limón, de la parte del final del limón que suele tirarse, precios buenos a costa de tacañear con la comida.
