Berari mountain tavern — Restaurant in Ansó

Excellent restaurant! Susanne and her husband are the owners. Menu del día is 25€ without beverages, but the price of wine is fair. Plates were very tasty and big enough. Risotto with mushrooms was spectacular 🤤👍👍👍, the best in Spain I’ve tried. We also tried salad with perdiz (partridge). For the second plates were “lomo de vaca” (beef ribeye ) and “manitas de cerdo” (pig trotters) - very tasty. For the dessert we had “requeson” and “couldn’t de chocolate” - this one was very rich 🤌🤌🤌 The price for the glass of wine more expensive then in the bar downstairs (2,5€ upstairs and 1,5-2€ downstairs). Very gentle service 🫶😘😘 Be sure to reserve a table, especially for the weekend...

We appreciate this restaurant very much. Such a natural welcoming atmosphere with great food and excellent service from everyone in the staff - with an extra star to Susanna. We had the fix priced meny with an exquisite Rioja-wine. Everything was excellent. The food was carried out very well by the chef with generous portions and delicious meat from local farmers. We recommend this restaurant...

Lo de tavern no es por nada. Como taberna, muy bien. Como restaurante...mejor que extiendan la taberna. De toda la comida, yendo varios comensales, lo único que nos ha gustado han sido algunos primeros platos y el postre (requeson del Roncal con miel). Desde luego, el menú no lo vale (+18€/pax). Comida sin sabor o carne mal hecha. El vino tinto terrible (2 stars en Vivino). Por cierto, en invierno hace un frío de narices dentro del salón del restaurante, no se puede estar, apenas hay un par de estufas que no bastan para toda la capacidad que hay. La gente estaba con el abrigo puesto durante toda la comida. No es normal...algo lamentable. ¿Por que 2 estrellas?. Porque el bar y el servicio lo merecen, pero el restaurante (entendiéndose el sitio y su comida) no. Por cierto, añadir que: 1) he comido con el abrigo ya llevando jersey, y 2 estufitas no calientan. 2) yo no fumo. 3) no soy vegetariano, pero se que no solo comen ensalada. 4) no suelo dejar comida en los platos salvo que no merezcan la pena. 5) bebo vino, pero con un mínimo de gusto y sabor, el vino que daban con el menú no vale ni para calimocho. Y si me sugieren pedir fuera de menú, es porque ya saben...
