Mesón Casa Diego — Restaurant in Antequera

The entire experience started off poorly.

Our appetizer salad mentioned tuna and they must have scraped the bottom of the can.

We ordered four dinners and the last one arrived 10-15 minutes after the third one.

My meal was not even close to the one I ordered but I accepted it after they insisted. It was not cooked as I ordered and even after they cooked it, it was still not as ordered. The potato was half cooked.

My friend ordered fries but received another half cooked potato.

The one of the pork dinners was tuff and part of it was raw. The other one was ok. . We ordered dessert and yes they could not get it correctly. We ordered vanilla and received something else.

I would never ever dine here again.

We couldn’t find any other place for lunch as everything non touristy was booked (recommend you book in advance). The service was a bit slow, and no one spoke English. The only menu available was also on Spanish so we really struggled. Finally, the Russian salad was good but nothing special. The secret Iberian pork was also very good, probably our favourite. Croquettes we’re v simple, not worth getting again.

Overall, fine place to stop at and not too touristy. But very simple and difficult to understand / communicate with staff if you don’t...

Creo que no hay nada peor cuando vas a un restaurante que un momento que debería ser agradable se convierta en una mala experiencia y lo único que quieras es salir de allí. Hemos pedido un surtido de Ibéricos (muy justito para los 18 euros que valía), y dos entrecots (uno en su punto y el otro poco). Pues cuando llegan, el poco hecho está perfecto, pero el que estaba en su punto estaba blanco... Lo he devuelto porque no sé que narices era, pero desde luego no se parecía el uno al otro nada en absoluto (cerdo en vez de ternera?). Se lo he comentado al camarero que se lo ha llevado, pidiendo por favor que me lo cambiase y pusiese uno como el otro. A los 5 minutos sale el jefe de cocina con el mismo filete y me dice que qué le pasa al filete, y yo le he contestado que qué se parecía el uno al otro y que desde luego no era el mismo entrecot. Con no muy buenas palabras y delante de todo el salón (que estaba lleno de gente) me dice que hacía él con ese filete (en dos ocasiones), a lo que le he contestado que lo que quisiese pero que no lo quería He sido respetuoso, pero podía no haberlo sido. Ha sido un momento bastante violento y desagradable. Una pena no haberle hecho una foto a ambos entrecot para saber que me han intentado colar. Ni volveremos ni lo...
