Mesón Restaurante La Posada del Conde — Restaurant in Ardales

We stood at the hotel for 2 nights to visit the beautiful lakes and Caminito del Rey. The hotel was okay at best. Some sockets were broken, the door lock, the balcony door, but everything was managable. We could hear our neighbors at night as well.

The location on the other hand was quite perfect. There's a free parking 50 meters away from the hotel, and you can walk to Caminito del Rey, as well as some public "beaches" (no lifeguards and sometimes slightly messy) for a good and refreshing swim.

We ate at this restaurant once, we had the lamb specialty with vegetables and honey sauce. It was delicious! It might be a bit hard to communicate properly if you don't know Spanish, but it's managable. After dinner, we tasted some home made wine and bought an entire bottle of it :). The waiter at the restaurant was nice and helpful. Keep in mind that the choice of food is quite limited here, and you won't find good breakfast as well. We were recommended the leg of the goat as a menu of the day dish. It was fantastic. Veggies were yummy along with the sauce. What was a surprise was the spicy prawns dish( Gambas Pil Pil), It was exceptional with the chillis, very unique and must try. Except for some awkward conversations with 'Pedro' everything else was great. Also strange that they charged us for the bread they gave us...

We had a wonderful meal at Meson the night of our stay at La Posada. We are a family of 5 with 4 vegetarians so we required special attention. They went above and beyond to create a wonderful meal for us My husband said his King Fin fish was one of the best meals he ever had. The waiter and bartender were very full of fun and made our night one to remember...
