A restaurant with typical Canarian cuisine
Our first visit to this restaurant, arrived around 7:30 PM on a Wednesday, not too busy when we arrived. You need to look on Google Maps to find the location, the entrance is in the corner of the uneven car park, don’t let this put you off. We were shown to a table by a very friendly Daniel who said the goat meat was recommended. It’s not a plush restaurant with white walls but a rustic typical guachinche with viewable BBQ and separate kitchen.
The service was quick and efficient. We started with a dish of giant bean stew to share. We have the impression it’s sometimes Fabada or this bean stew, it depends on the day, it was totally delicious. We wish we could make this at home.
My wife chose the grilled pork steak and I chose of course the recommended goat meat. I have noticed in the past that potions of goat in other restaurants were a little lacking, not here. Honestly, I have not had better goat, lashings of highly flavoured salsa. I had to throw the towel in after eating ⅔ of it. My wife attacked her pork, two very large pieces, cooked to perfection on the open BBQ and totally delicious. We both asked to have the leftovers to go. We were not on our own, many of the tables departed with carry out bags, a testament to the size of the portions. The place was filling up before we left, it’s very popular, you may have to make a reservation at very busy times.
Our bill for the obligatory bread, a large bottle of water, half a litre of white wine, a small beer, bean stew, pork and goat was an amazing €36.75. We left happy and totally stuffed. Very friendly staff, we can highly...

Read moreThe directions given by Google maps were somewhat misleading : First of all you must walk across someone else’s land and then you are faced with a 4m high wall. I’m sure any competent pole vaulter could get in this way, but I prefer to use the front door… This place is in an unnamed road and there is no parking immediately outside. Having said that, this place is quite charming. Everything cooked in full view and prices are low. This place only opened 5 months ago and the staff try extra hard to please. You won’t be...
