This is an amazing place. “ La Fuente means “ fountain or a spring” Very authentic and rustic here. They only speak Spanish and don’t have an English menu. Only take cash for tax reasons! But it is very very cheap. Everything home made and even the wine is made on site - must be tried ! A glass of wine comes in a jug here ! If they put a lemon on your plate that is probably grown in the garden ? It is busy because all the locals seem to know about it. If you see a door that looks like a toilet, well, that leads up to the terrace although you wouldn’t know it. If you like walking, why not park your car here and have a walk around “Roque Jama” ? It will take about 3 hours because the “rocks” here are as big as Mt Snowdon, but the the views are pretty good ! Definitely...

A hidden gem in the hills, this eatery provides an excellent menu consisting of traditional northern Canarian tapas dishes. The staff are very friendly and efficient with all food prepared and cooked to order. portions are large and very tasty. They have a selection of beers and spirits on offer along with some very nice non alcoholic drinks for the driver! We would highly recommend the Canarian potatoes, the chicken and pork as well as the vegetarian dishes which are varied and flavorful. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a taste of traditional Canarian cooking, off the beaten track. Estuve allí almorzando el día 28/09/24. Una vez sentados en la mesa y tras esperar un buen rato sin saber si era autoservicio o venían a la mesa, nos disponíamos a preguntar cuando una señora rubia (no se su nombre) empezó a hablarnos mal gritando haciendo que toda la sala se quedase mirándonos y nosotros avergonzados cuando solo queriamos saber si ir a la barra o esperar. Después vino a la mesa y pidió perdón, ok. Para mi esto no es un problema, mi problema viene cuando en las puertas de este guachinche hay muchos gatitos abandonados y andaban en la terraza del bar, yo, sentada en la misma puerta, uno vino hacia mi y le empece a acariciar cuando esta "señora" viene y a patadas empieza a echar al animalito y yo empecé a decirle con un nudo en la garganta q no lo trate así q si quiere yo se lo saco! Oidos sordos y siguió a patadas mientras yo le decía que no eran formas de tratar ningún ser vivo! Acto seguido me levante y en la calle en la otra acera me dispuse a darle mi comida a los gatitos hambrientos. Esta "señora" salió y me dijo que si ellos no obeden pues así es como hay que tratarlos! Y le digo ah si?! Y si es un niño haces lo mismo?! Lo sacas a patadas!!! Su respuesta: pues si! Si es un niño maleducado que no hace caso lo trato igual! "Señora" ha dado usted precisamente con una que tuvo que sacrificar a su vida, su perrita, justo 8 días atrás y me siento protectora de los animales ya que si ellos no tienen ni voz ni voto, ya lo hago yo por ellos para que gente como usted, los respete. No soy de poner reseñas ni nada por el estilo, es más no iba ni a ponerla por como nos trato, pero ya a un ser indefenso! No hija no. Yo sé que los animales no pueden entrar en esos establecimientos, pero hay muchas formas.
