Slow service and staff so rude.
I saw the place from the outside and I thought it was very nice, we walked around the town Bédar and I was do happy and could not wait to go in and have a nice beer after our hiking, also support the local businesses, so we went there into terrace and since no one was coming out to take our order so I decided to go in the bar and ask so nicely if someone can take our order outside, the staff saw me and ignored me just couple metres in front of my face, all of them, it is true that I my wife and I was wearing hiking clothes and was not wearing a suit. But it’s not excuse we are a customer too,so I asked gently if they served food or drinks outside and the gentleman at the bar responded me so rude and with very bad manners that, “ They were going to eat first” and that I HAD to order at the barra, talking to me as if I were asking for “spare change” , we obviously left. Gentlemen of these place: I have gently remind you guys: if it weren't for us ,tourists and ex-pats, you probably wouldn't be there and certainly that town either, so please a little respect for your clients, or in our case a new customers, Staff very slow and inattentive , clearly they had regulars customers and they wanted to look after them and weren't in the least bit interest in new customers, we will definitely not be returning.and definitely not recommend to our...
Read moreOn Friday 27th December, my wife, I, and three friends had lunch at the Cortijo bar. Our three friends had the Menu Del Dia, whilst my wife and I had the Roast Leg of Lamb, together with the poor man's potatoes, cauliflower cheese and a dish of what I believe to be roasted butternut squash, red pepper and onion. Although our friends all enjoyed their meals, this is a post focusing on the roasted lamb. The complete meal was cooked to perfection and has to be the best roasted lamb I have had, not only in Bedar but certainly in mainland Spain. the portion size was also huge. The service was, as always, perfect. Thanks for such a memorable meal.

Be sure to reserve, though, as although it was our first visit and so did reserve just in case, we arrived to find every table reserved..... and it was evident that this is a popular venue. We...
