Cafe Aquarium — Restaurant in Banyoles

We had a great time at the Aquarium Bar, in Banyoles last night, We had previously stopped going there, due to the bad service and lack of management, so we were happy to learn that it was now under different ownership. Upon entering the bar, we were given a warm welcome and the whole team were open and super friendly. The service was also quick and efficient They are currently in the process of implementing some positive changes to the bar and speaking to the owners, we learnt about some of the new and exciting projects  that they intend to introduce, to elevate the bar to another level! The menu included a variety of firm favourites, along with some new and tasty dishes, that had an Indian influence. Everyone in our party had a lovely time and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes that we ordered. We will definitely be back to test some of the other new dishes on the menu. Service 5/5 Food...

100/10! I could not recommend this gem of a cafe more - we even ended up there 3 times in one week! The cafe is newly owned by a super friendly and hands on couple who have clearly put so much work into turning this place around and making it the best cafe in banyoles.

The menu is amazing, it was so hard to choose just one thing (hence the multiple trips), with a good mix of indulgent (burgers, fluffy pancakes etc) and healthy (lots of unique salads and sandwhiches). Everything we had was delicious, and the hamburger was quite possibly the best I have ever had!

Every staff member we came across had such a friendly and proactive approach (and great English!).

They were soooo accommodating to my baby. They even put him together a selection of baby friendly finger foods and dips so he could join in with our meal.

I was rolling through Banyoles on my bike looking for a place for lunch. When I saw the bike on display in the window, I knew this was the right place. It has proper bike parking, and sells bike nutrition if you need any. It was a place where I felt ok being in lycra lol. I didn't take a pic of the sandwich because I attacked it so quickly, but it was good. Nice ham and tomato, open face on fresh bread. I just got a pic of me and my coffee. The server was friendly and helpful, and he filled my water bottle for me. (Many places look at you blankly when you ask for a water bottle fill) The young lady behind the counter spoke English, was very helpful, and packed up some cake for me to put in my back pocket for the climb. It was very good when I took bites from it on the way up and at the top of Rocacorba. I recommend Aquarium as a place for cyclists to stop...
