There is no point going anywhere else. My family and I find ourselves looking for restaurants or taxis in Bilbao as it’s festival season. Our hotel was in the port and has no kitchen and no food outlets near by. We were 20mins late and greeted with such welcome by the staff. My kids where 3 and 8 and hungry so weren’t the easiest to handle and even though the restaurant is quite refined, the didn’t even flinch at the kids.

Extremely accommodating and above all else, the single best steak have ever had.the rest of the family agreed, best meal we have ever had.

Very good food, we ate several different things, from crocetas to salad and sea food. You can feel that the food is actually fresh and that they use fine quality ingredients. This is fairly represent in the prices. The only shame is that the drinks were relatively expensive and that the service was rather slow. We were not once asked if we needed anything else etc. Apart from that a very good place to go. Lovely...

Restaurante a donde solemos ir a comer varias veces al año. Tenemos nuestros platos favoritos (ensaladilla, croquetas, taco de atún y taco de solomillo), de los cuales no solemos ‘salirnos’. Pero esta vez, se nos dio por cambiar y elegir uno de los platos propuestos fuera de carta: ración de rodaballo para 2. Nos dividieron la ración en 2 platos y, una de las piezas, era literalmente la parte de la cola con su espina central y sin nada de carne. Tras pedir explicaciones, la respuesta fue que, al hacer la repartición del rodaballo en trozos, me había ‘tocado’ esa parte. Me dejó tan sorprendido esa respuesta que me llevó tiempo hasta reaccionar. No sé si es más lamentable la explicación o, que la persona que realiza el emplatado, sea capaz de servir eso. La ración de rodaballo nos fue cobrada íntegramente y la compensación que nos ofrecieron fue servir un trozo más grande para cada taco de atún que teníamos pendiente. Los comparé con fotos de otras ocasiones y sí, era ‘algo’ más grande, pero sin alardeos. Total, que jamás nos hubiéramos esperado este fallo tan garrafal de un lugar de este nivel.
