As a resident of the area I expect more. Place is dirty and messy daily. Staff doesn’t pay attention for incoming customers and you need to wait 20 - 40 minutes to be served. When you finally get attention, half of the menu is not available by various reasons. Regularly there is no cold bottled beer or it’s been sold out. When you offering food for take away I expect to recieve my food in appropriate heat reisistant trays not just wraped in loose foil or melting plastic tray. Staff need professional customer service training and by staff I mean manager as well. There are some recent changes made but it is not improoving any services so far. It is shame that the only place in area where you can get food and go out for a couple of drinks has so low standards. It's a convenient place to have a light meal or drink. There's plenty of choice on the menu, although avoid the black pudding which is pure mush. Friday and Saturday there's a lovely BBQ for a good price. It's no 5* restaurant so don't arrive with high expectations. It's just a nice and handy place to go if you're staying in the area. A great little par 3, 18 hole course to practice your short game. Good for beginners in the sense that you have to get your ball up in the air or it's in a lake. The bad points are structural, not the fault of the people who run the course so well. Massive long walk along the road from hole 3 to 4. Hole 3 is stupidly long and difficult compared to every other hole. Had to bring an extra club for this. Without this most players wouldn't need more than a PW...
