I was a regular guest when Ferdinando and Heguer were doing their magic in the earlier restaurant - so I couldn't wait to visit Casa Bernardi. Expectations were really high, but they managed to surpass them by quite a margin. The food is absolutely exceptional - Italian kitchen in it's true essence, extremely well presented. The Agnelotti and the Tatar are world class, the rest of the menue isn't far behind. The food is on a 1 or even 2 star Michelin level, no doubt about it. The ambiance in the restaurant (due to winter, we sat inside) is great: friendly, welcoming, cozy and familiar. This also shows in the service - where it sometimes lacks a bit in quality (also due to the fact that they're rather short on staff), they make it up by far with the friendliness of everybody working there and how kitchen and service works together. The restaurant has been completely renovated and that was a success as well. I'm looking forward to try out the terrace as soon as the weather gets more friendly. For me it's a must visit when I'm in the area as of now and, considering all factors, it's the best on the coast (even compared to the 2 and 3 star restaurants in the area). Update summer 2023: 5 star still stands, top top top!

it's a Christmas miracle. late in the evening in the dark, on an ordinary road, the headlights caught the Bakery sign and then the Michelin star. couldn't miss it!!! We turned around to see this offer. We were greeted by a very kind owner of the Restaurant and Bakery. So far we have only tried bread and Absolutely!!! Incredible !!!! PENNETONI!!! (no photo, we didn’t have time, it was so delicious that we ate it right away!!) Be sure to try it!!! This is the best Penettoni we have tried!! moderately moist and sweet with very tasty dried fruits!!! Since we were passing through, we didn’t go to the restaurant, but only bought some pastries. Excellent bread!!! You have a magical Baker!!! but now we will definitely return to this wonderful place to visit the restaurant! Thank you

I’d give 4,5/5. Nice setting, enthusiastic chef and great Italian food on our plates! For me the portions weren’t a problem, but I can imagine 2 pasta plates and a risotto can be much for some guests. Although the flavors of those dishes were amazing, it’s maybe a bit too much of pasta/rice? Very new restaurant, so the wine list was also on the young(er) side, but suggesting a Amarone when asked for a Barolo is in my opinion not in the same style of wines, but that’s a more personal opinion. You can feel and see the staff is trying to deliver a certain level of service, which isn’t always met. Not that mistakes were being made, but more the consistency of the ā€œetiquetteā€. To the chef; keep the vibe you were spreading the whole evening at all the tables !

Great place to go, would highly recommend. You feel as if you’re having a fancy dinner at home. The place is intimate and the view is amazing. The service is a1, and they tend to you so carefully from the time you walk in. I.e I walked in with a small camera in my hand and they immediately gave me a floor pillow to rest it on so I wouldn’t have to take up space with it on the table. Each set menu is thoroughly explained to you so you have enough information to know which you want to choose. They also have a sommelier available to pair with each dish or recommend an accompanying bottle. Very knowledgeable. The head chef and owner is very friendly and checks on each of his customers. You can tell a lot of detail and attention goes into this establishment. We drove from Alicante to visit this and the drive is lovely as well. Worth a visit & detour. Easy to see why it is a...
