AKELARRE TABERNA — Restaurant in Bermeo

I recently dined here and had a mixed experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the octopus appetizer, which was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the croquetas were disappointing as they arrived cold in the middle, detracting from what should have been a delightful starter.

For the main courses, the Basque bacalao (cod fish) was barely edible, lacking the flavor and texture one would expect from such a dish. The entrecot, on the other hand, was well-prepared and enjoyable. However, the beef stew was quite bland and failed to impress.

La comida muy buena tanto por carta como si pides menú a mediodía muy generoso de cantidad y buen precio pero al servicio no le doy más de una estrella no por la atención de los camareros al servir si no por lo siguiente:

Reservé mesa para dos personas ese mismo día (dos o tres horas antes) y me dijeron que perfecto. Pues llegamos a la hora de la reserva y el bar lleno, incluso gente esperando. Cuando le digo que éramos dos y que teníamos reserva y la camarera que no, que no y efectivamente al mirar la libreta estaba apuntada (la había apuntado otra camarera). He trabajado en bares y un descuido lo puede tener cualquiera pero lo lógico es que primero pidan disculpas (no lo hicieron) y lo segundo es que si yo reservo es para tener sitio y no esperar; lo que no puede ser es que tenga que esperar teniendo reserva y encima le den primero la mesa a una pareja que estaba esperando antes (que no tenía reserva). Si tengo reserva y para colmo el error es de un trabajador lo lógico es que yo tenga preferencia a una persona que esta esperando por no tener reserva. Y repito, que mínimo que una disculpa
