Antonio from The legendary family of Teide had given us an unforgettable experience when we visit here. First the hospitality, all out requests are greet and met with upmost satisfaction. Antonio even showed us the amazing picture la he took for the view seeing the sea and Africa from the balcony. Very nice Waiter and dining room, next to nice log fire. Ordered several courses including soups, tortilla and meat and fish dishes. Very disappointing food overall.... nothing tasted even vaguely fresh, everything heavily salted, vegetables tasted raw and from a can. Probably one of the worst meals I have ever had out sadly, and I would not recommend it . Lo Nuestro across the road was much better on the previous evening. Very popular restaurant with a lovely garden area to eat and also a huge indoor space. Very typical and tasty Alpujarra dishes, to call the portions generous, is an understatement. Waiter very friendly, speaks English, and if you insist on trying out your Spanish accommodates you by speaking slowly and articulated. The coffee is excellent, and the wine list is quite impressive, especially the prices! You can only dream about paying so little down...
