I am rating this hotel base on my experience with them.
I booked this hotel 05/04/2023 (yesterday) and stayed for a night. I chose this hotel because it is the nearest hotel at the Calatayud Train Station.
So how will I rate this hotel?
Well, I'll rate this hotel between 1-5 stars where 5 is the highest and 1 is the lowest with the given explanation as to why.
Location⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It is near Calatayud Train Station going to Madrid or Barcelona via Regional Trip. Also it is near at the major business centers and establishments in town (Bank, Fastfood Restaurant, Grocery Store etc...)
Bed/Sleep Quality ⭐️⭐️
Bed is good. I had fresh linens but I did not slept well as it is a bit cold in the room.
Comfort/Equipment/Amenities ⭐️
It is a bit cold in the room. I am not sure if there is a heater or what. There is also a big gap on the door like half an inch where cold air enters (see photo). And since there is a gap on the door, you'll hear every guest on the hotel passing by the door walking and talking loud which make it difficult for me to sleep and rest not until pass 11:00PM. The phone on the bedside table doesn't work properly to call the reception area. The time I had to take a bath, the water that is coming out from the shower is too hot, as in super hot like you can make hot coffee out of it and though I tried to adjust the faucet to cold water, still hot water is coming out. I had to go downstairs (because the phone is not working) to talk to the personnel on the reception to address the issue so I can take a bath. This is like early in the morning like 7:00AM. No shampoo nor toothpaste, toothbrush and room slipper were being provided, just towels and body wash.
Service/Personnel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They are friendly. The woman from the afternoon shift who assisted me while checking in and also the man from the morning shift who helped me with my issue with the super hot water coming out from the shower.
Value for Money ⭐️⭐️
I paid €44.10 (see photo) for a night stay (breakfast included). But due to not so comfort stay I had, I guess this is too much for a price. Also the breakfast is not really enticing. I had a cup of coffee with milk, croissant a la plancha and a small amount of orange juice. I had stayed with a lot of hotels paying the same amount I paid a night with them but with quality breakfast included.
Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So far, this is the only thing I am happy about. It is clean and the decors are up to date.
Overall this is a ⭐️⭐️...
Read moreCalatayud is a small city with not too much to see. There is a castle on the hilltop, but I didn't go to see it. This was just a logical place to stop at the end of a busy day of travel. The hotel is on the Avenida de las Cortes, what appears to be the main street of the city. There is "zona azul" parking all along the street outside the hotel, which is free after 8:00 PM. I had to circle several times before I was able to get a spot a bit of a walk from the door. It was 7:30, and as got out of the car, I spotted the meter maid and approached. She was very nice and assured me she wouldn't ticket my car since it was so close to 8:00. And with tomorrow being a holiday, parking is free. So I wouldn't have to worry about moving it in the morning. My room cost 22 euros and it overlooked an interior shaft. No view, but no street noise either. The room was small, but adequate. The bed had a thick foam type mattress and was comfortable. Big mirrored closet in the entry hall and a nice bathroom. Tipical hand held shower with hard to adjust bracket. God, how I hate those! The shower curtain goes all the way up to the ceiling, so no danger of getting water all over the floor. All in all, a good place to stop overnight if you find yourself in this area. There are lots of eating places...
