Like a Spanish galleon, the inside of this restaurant makes you feel like your on a ship. Seafood is the centre of attention and it's all prepared simply grilled, or in paella, or in a stew. Flavours are strong Catalan and the seafood was mostly very fresh on our visit. Service was unfortunately extremely slow and the team working appeared run off there feet (not enough staff).
Lobster and crab tanks were on display close to us and sea bass was flambed with fennel and brandy creating fire, drama and excitement.
Over all the food was average but with expensive prices. Nothing served here could not be found at half a dozen other restaurants near by for less. Prawn cocktail was particularly poor with just 5 small prawns (none of which were even local) too much sauce and a 12 euro price tag! Grilled Fish platter stated it was for one person (45 euro) but was clearly not and should have been for 2 people minimum. It was very nice however and the fish was perfectly cooked.
Overall this was an average restaurant with a big ego and a long history that unfortunately did not live up to its previous...
