Extremely unpleasant and arrogant staff. We arrived as a group of 5 people after docking our boat in the marina. The restaurant had two large empty tables for 6 people in the shade, but the waiter seated us at a small table for 4, added a chair, and placed us in direct sunlight—on a day when it was 30°C.
We repeatedly asked to be moved to one of the larger shaded tables, which remained unoccupied, but the waiter kept insisting that a larger group from a boat would be arriving later—even though no one had a reservation. He said it in a very arrogant manner and even told us that if we didn’t like the table in the sun, we were welcome to go to another restaurant—even though we had already ordered 3 liters of sangria.
I assured him we would be spending a lot of money, but he still refused in an arrogant way. The funniest part? The larger group never showed up. In the end, he seated a family of three at each of the two large tables.
The waiter (with glasses) also claimed to be the boss of the restaurant, but I seriously doubt that—he looked about 22 years old.
It was an outrageous experience that completely ruined the atmosphere, especially since the food was actually good. But no one wants to sit for two hours in direct sunlight trying to enjoy dinner with friends.

After a long wait we were shown to our seats . On asking for a menu we were told to use the QR reader . When we said we’d prefer a menu the waiter became quite grumpy. He disappeared and eventually came back and proceeded to throw the menus onto the table. Service from then was less than acceptable! The second time, after my wife and I being shown to our table, no one came to serve us. We could see they were busy but just a word from someone would not have gone amiss. After 10 minutes plus we left . When I look back on past experiences I only remember happy , smiling staff....
Read moreWe have been going to La Oca for many years and it has had its ups and downs, but my experiences were mainly positive especially in the last couple of years. The food was ok to good ,the staff was always pleasant and friendly and the atmosphere is always good in the port. However, our recent experience has been really really negative. There is a lot of seasonal staff that do not seem interested in service, we received an undercooked starter that we set back and in return we received mains that were so overcooked that were inedible. It is such a shame because it was one of our...
