Only stopped for a beer after a drink but won't go there again. Asked for a 'cerveza grande' (he asked me if I was staying at the hotel...I wonder why) but beer came back 'pequena' - then charged 5 Euros!! - no receipt (whilst I noticed all the other customers got a receipt) and quickly snaffled up my note....think it was a dodgy waiter. Hotel Rebeco just opposite were - in contrast - professional, less than half the price and plus a receipt and free snacks. Read moreReview is of the restaurant only, not the hotel: Fine, better than expected from some of the negative reviews out there. The service was friendly and some of the staff can speak English if needed.
The food was ok but expect more from a Parador. The beans and jamón dish was good, but the hake had very little flavour. The complete lack of competition in Fuente Dé was apparent as the quality of food doesn't justify the high prices.
Overall, if you're in Fuente Dé we'd recommend this place over the Rebeco opposite, or even better go to Potes if you...
Read moreHotel extremely noisy from visitors slamming doors and shouting up to 2/3 am. Also outside noise through the night, bins being emptied at 3/4 am. Can here reception staff and visitors talking in our room. Ladies on reception were good, also Raf but the gentlman covering breakfast and reception was miserable, looked like he didnt want to be there, did not look up to say goodbye on leaving. Breakfast that morning the 21st was more basic, nothing much to choose.
