Disappointing experience. If you are eating here be aware of two things: the lamb chops do not have much meat on them (they are from the lechazo or unweaned lamb, the lamb equivalent of veal). This is both quite depressing and not good for eating (out of my 7 chops, three had literally zero meat on them and shouldn't have been served). Secondly, if you ask for the veal steaks to be well done, they will not be (this is in common with elsewhere in Spain to be fair). We asked for a steak well done and it was still completely uncooked in places, we also observed another table sending something back that they asked to be well done but was still bloody. I understand that it's a shame to overcook this quality of meat but some diners are not able to have rare meat. We sent it back and it was cooked more thoroughly. Lastly, if a customer sends something back untouched as with the lechazo, which had almost no meat for around €16, I expect it to be taken off the bill - here, they were adamant that it would be charged for as this is what should be expected from lechazo. Apart from this disagreement, the service was friendly - but overall the experience was most disappointing for us. Sadly there is almost no competition in Fuente Dé, but our experience of dining at the Parador across the road was better (albeit nothing special).

Be smart. DONT EAT HERE. 2 spoons 1 bowl of soup for 2 persons with no soupplate! My wife was served stone cold meat and the in oil dripped french frites and vegetables were also stone cold. Whitin 2 minutes she had a other plate???? My meat was good of color outside but inside raw and cold. I can go on and on for a while... please note first 5 words.

Beans and sausage, only one tiny slice of chorizo. So a bowl of beans for $15. The hake (cod) is little fried fish sticks. The fries were saturated in oil. $22. Not even decent. Just Pick up sandwiches for dinner in Potes. None of the restaurants are even open before 8:30 PM. Absolute racket for hikers.

Had dinner there as we couldn't get table at parador where we were staying. Not disappointed. Local gin and tonic set the tone. Amazing bean stew with chorizo to start with a platter of delicious local cheeses. Followed with lamb chops and steak. Both very well cooked and full of flavour. Dessert disappointing but not really needed. We returned after long walk next day for lunch. Menu del dia very good choices, good portion sizes. 15 euros 3 courses with bread and...
