Can Martí (El Xipiró) — Restaurant in Cambrils

Very nice, but modest restaurant with everything very nicely done, good fresh beer, great selection of wines, with great food: lovely paella, both pizzas we had were very good too, lovely base and well everything was really great. Nice service too, and amazing olives as starter! Thank you guys. Our first evening thanks to you was delicious which you can't say to next door fancy looking restaurant we tried next day, so well done guys! The menu of the day here was disappointing. It's great value, but I feel that the value has meant a decline in the quality of food. The seafood soup was nice, but the calamari main was awful. Very small portions with a scattering of salad and dry chips. Nobody on our table of four was impressed by their main.

The service was good, friendly staff amidst a pleasant setting, but the food really let's it down. If I were to visit again, I'd try some of the main menu offerings, but I doubt...

TOURIST TRAP. Disgusting food. Ordered paella which was priced at 12.5 euros but requires 2 minimum, so one plate is really 25. They try to trick you.

The food was disgusting. Undercooked rice, unseasoned meat, and frozen vegetables (Look at the photo for evidence). We left the plate 90% uneaten.

TRUST the 1 STAR reviews, look how many they have! Avoid this restaurant. Let them SLOWLY go out of business in a few years and hopefully a better restaurant or new management and kitchen...
