Tem Restaurant — Restaurant in Cambrils

We had family dinner at this place during the holidays, at our first night. We were really hungry after traveling all day. We arrived about 19. 30 asking if they have already food... They said the kitchen only opens at 20. 00 and stafd was a bit unfriendly and ignoring us. We left but came back as nothing else close to was open. We asked if we can stay to have a look at the menu and order drinks already. Maybe they misunderstood but there were a bit back and for with the staff and (I guess) their boss about if we can sit or not... Was a bit rude. So in the end we sat down. After our order waiting some time some of the mains arrived, step by step. After waiting some time more we asked where the food from the kids and my mom is... They were suprised and said 'oh yeah... We start now' that was like 40 min. After our order more or less. I have to mention we were the only table. Food arrived later and all happy. My dad and I ordered kind of rice souo with sea fruits and fish. I must say the food was good, altough the steak my mom ordered. But to finish this review i have to add that dishes and glasses were chipped and kind of not really clean... Prices are high for the region... I would say there are other and better places you could have a good dinner with...

Would I go back? No, the food is fine but for me the price : quality ratio is a little off and would not merit a return visit. It's a lovely location right on the beach front. The food is fairly pricey and service quite formal on the face of it. Cover @ 2 euros per person consists of a bread roll each, though we were given complimentary gazpacho/pate appetizers. There was no kids menu/options. Our kids were offered chicken & fried potatoes coming in at 10.50 euro each. Unable to supply a large bottle of still water, we had to order 2 smaller ones which totalled 5 euro - that's a lot to pay for a litre of water in my opinion. 3 of us shared the local version of seafood paella at around 16 euro per person. This was very tasty but a little tight on the seafood. It's the only place I've ever eaten paella where they put the crayfish in your dish first then pile everything else on top. El sitio es bonito, la comida es buena y esta enfrente de la playa pero el servicio es pésimo. Tardan mucho en servir y al maitre parece no importarle. Te va dando largas pero al final la experiencia es horrenda. He ido ya tres veces y siempre es asi. Lo siento no volveré a ir mas y tu tampoco deberias ir

The place is nice, food is good and location is just next to the beach but service is awful. They took long time to serve you and maitre doesn’t care. He keeps coming and telling you that food is arriving with different excuses every time but that makes the full experience a very bad one.
