Divieto — Restaurant in Canals

We were in Canals visiting properties with a client and we chose to eat here. It was the first time eaiting in this restaurant in Canals.

It was a good experience overall. Macu and Cati took good care of us.

My client and I went for bbq pork chops, my wife went for the Casoncelli de carne and my kid had the Marguerita pizza.

For desert we chose Tiramisu and Panaconta.

Everything was delicious but get ready to wait for the food. It took 20 minutes for the food to get on the table.

We didn't mind but it's good know because if you're really hungry you might get disapointed. If you're hungry ask for some starters while the main is getting ready.

It's not the cheapest restaurant out there but it was a good...

La comida (lo que finalmente pudimos comer) muy rica, el servicio deja mucho que desear. Pedimos patatas divieto, yo un bao de pollo crunchy con mojo picón y mi marido costillas a la barbacoa, hasta ahí todo bien. Nos traen al poco las patatas y al poquito también el bao, el problema viene ahora... vamos comiendo tranquilamente, unos 10 minutos después de haber acabado seguimos esperando a que traigan la costilla para mi marido, nadie se pasó por la mesa a comentar ni a preguntar nada. Ya cansados de esperar, decido preguntarle a una de las camareras si le falta mucho a la costilla, me mira con los ojos abiertos de par en par, se encoje de hombros y me pone cara de no tengo ni la menor idea 🤦🏻‍♀️, le comentamos que llevamos mucho esperando y que ya no la queremos (de tanto esperar a mi marido ya le habían cortado toda la cena), que por favor nos traiga la cuenta. Se va a la cocina y al poco vuelve, que si la queremos para ya que ahora ya la tiene lista, obviamente le dijimos que no, se molestó y nos dijo que claro, que eso llevaba tiempo hacerse y que no la tenían preparada con antelación. Entiendo perfectamente que hay platos que llevan su tiempo, pero de siempre eso se avisa, bien en carta o en el momento de pedir y es el cliente quien decide si espera o pide otra cosa. Tampoco está bien sacar cada cosa a un tiempo diferente y menos cuando saber que uno de los platos tardará bastante más que el resto. Falta de comunicación completa. Una pena porque lo que comimos realmente estaba bueno, pero...

Nice cozy place with contemporary design. The food is very well presented and tasty. I didn't put 5 just because their pizza was too dry to my taste but the starters and the deserts were very tasty. The service is good but when people who came later then us are served first I cannot give 5 stars, sorry. In general, the resto gives a very good impression compared to the other...
