Restaurante Pizzería Venecia — Restaurant in Candelaria

Unfortunately, this was one of my worst experiences at an Italian restaurant in the Canaries. We visited recently and ordered a pizza with cheese, ham, and mushrooms, but it was a disappointment—too much dough, poorly distributed bland toppings, and overall just bad. Honestly, I’ve had better store-bought frozen pizza.

Hoping it was just an off day, we decided to give the place another chance and returned to try the Tagliatelle Carbonara. Sadly, it turned out to be the worst Carbonara I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t usually write reviews like this, but I felt compelled to this time. The owner should seriously consider hiring a new cook—preferably someone Italian or at least someone who truly understands proper Italian cuisine.

That said, the service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy—nothing more to add...

Pizzas muy buenas, la masa siempre es al gusto de cada uno, pero yo soy partidario de coger un trozo de pizza y que no se te escurra, a mí esas pizzas en masa que parecen un folio no me gustan nada, así que para mí estaban perfectas, también contundentes en el relleno. Falló la atención, como siempre una sonrisa, una buena cara, el ser agradable con el cliente, no todo es servir y punto, estás trabajando de cara al público, y una buena actitud siempre es un plus; puede hacer que quieras volver o recomiendes el restaurante sí o no. A cada servicio miraba a los ojos a la camarera y le deba las gracias, (no soporto la gente que trata a los camareros como criados), o al finalizar, ayudarla a amontonar los platos, pues ni una leve sonrisa, ni un gesto, ni un “no hay de qué”, continuamente una cara seria y de mal humor. A mi eso, me echa para atrás, porque parece que te debo algo o te he hecho algo. Hay que ser profesional, aunque tengas un mal día. Por lo demás, estaba todo...
