Casa Küme — Restaurant in Candelario

We’ve had lunch at Küme twice during our stay in Candelario, and both times it was exceptional. It’s very much a meat (or fish) place, but the menu is varied and interesting within that. The sweetbread starter in particular was unlike anything I’ve eaten before, and the portion was big enough for two to share happily. We had the Chuletón steak first time, and it was absolutely perfectly cooked and great quality meat. Huge also. Took the remainder home and had a great steak sandwich the next day. I have never eaten testier meat! This is a small, but cozy restaurant, which is located in one of the most beautiful villages of Spain. All dishes are perfect. Muy buen restaurante en Candelaria. Amabilidad en el trato, con buen servicio y muy buenos consejos (sobre todo en el vino recomendado). Los entrantes muy ricos (ensaladilla de bonito con piparras, casi como la de Sanlucar), verduras al horno de leña buenísimas también. De segundo bacalao jugoso pero hecho (en su punto perfecto) y chuletón de ternera muy bueno. El vino (Perahigo), de una bodega de la zona, buenísimo y a un precio realmente moderado. Por cierto, nos atendió Beatriz y al hacernos las recomendaciones de fuera de carta y del vino, nos indicaba el precio de cada plato y del vino, lo cual es un ejemplo que deberían imitar todos los restaurantes de España (en general no se hace en ningún sitio). Los postres bien, alguno como la manzana asada sobre una lámina de galleta estaba muy bueno. Flan de huevo al horno de leña también bueno. Y muy rica la nata que acompañaba algunos postres.
