A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home

We stumbled upon this family-run burger joint and ended up going twice during our stay — it was that good. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt personal and warm. Our waiter, who seemed to be one of the brothers running the place (they’ve been in business since 1990), was attentive in a way that felt genuine, not rehearsed.

The homemade burger was absolutely spot-on — perfectly cooked with clear attention to quality, and the signature Claxton sauce elevated it even more. I also tried the lemon Damm beer on a whim — now officially my go-to summer drink. Each time my glass was nearing empty, our waiter was already there with another, no need to ask.

Though the place is buzzing with activity, the service is fast and smooth if you’re in a hurry. Or you can do what we did: settle in, sip a few cañas, and soak up the good vibes.

Für Vegetarier ist dieser Ort nicht geeignet, die haben lediglich nur 1 Salat und 1 Sandwich mit Gemüse, was vegetarisch ist. Wir haben 2x vegetarische Sandwiches bestellt. Es kam nur eines davon an, das andere war mit Fleisch. Als wir ihn darauf aufmerksam machten, dass er das eine falsch gebracht hat, nahm er es mit, stopfte da etwas Salat rein und brachte es wieder. Wir zeigten ihm das darin liegende Fleisch und meinten wir wollen ein neues. Er nahm es erneut mit und nahm einfach nur das Fleisch raus. Auf weitere Anforderung, dass wir das so nicht akzeptieren würden, ignorierte er uns und bediente die anderen Kunden. Mein Mann nahm es einfach hin und wollte kein großen Aufstand machen. Er sagte mir dass es kalt sei und keine Tomaten sowie anderes Gemüse drin war, wie in meines welches richtig gebracht wurde. Llevamos viniendo años a esta hamburguesería con la familia, amigos, etc. Nos hemos reunido 5 personas en una mesa para comer. Han traído todas las hamburguesas menos un plato que han hecho esperar a un comensal 15 min más por pedir 2 min más tarde la hamburguesa. Bueno pueden tener un día malo. Pedimos la cuenta y le hemos dejado la parte de dos comensales y el resto a pagar con tarjeta. Pues el camarero iba a cobrarme y el dueño, ojo! El dueño! Ha venido a decirme que yo no le tengo que decir cómo cobrar, que hay una mesa y saca una cuenta y cobra un pago nada de que cada uno pague lo suyo o dinero o tarjeta. Entonces para mí sorpresa me ha dicho que pague yo y me apañe con el resto, que le da igual como me ponga que es así y punto. Nunca pensé recibir un trato así por parte de un local que venimos rejentando...
