This hotel has a lot of potential, the facilities are nice for the price, location is very central, but they really fall short on customer service.

Pros: Lovely pool area Nice bar staff Double rooms are nicely decorated Good sized and new bathrooms Great central location close to town and beaches Supermarket very close by Reception area nicely renovated Comfy beds The 2 male receptionist were helpful

Cons: The 2 ladies on reception really weren't very accomodating for any questions, everything felt like it was a problem to ask, we felt very unwelcome even from the moment we arrived when she was confused by us even asking to check in. As I had booked through their website directly I was automatically signed up to their loyalty programme which according to online should have included a free welcome bottle of cava, early check in and late checkout. This was not mentioned or offered at any point. I didn't bother asking for this in the end due to point 1. We were allocated room 124 on check in. This exact room on the flacalco website is advertised as a individual room, when I'd booked a double room. This room was TINY and really not suitable for 2 people. I felt very uncomfortable in there. The bathroom door was falling off giving no privacy, the shower overflowed, when we got in to the room it hadn't been finished cleaning, the towels were stained, empty toiletries bottles still left over, no shampoo in the bathroom, or light sheet on the bed. We asked to move room but were told the hotel was fully booked and only had the 'emergency room' available which also wasn't great. At first they told us we'd have to come back tomorrow to 'check' if they had another room. At no point did they acknowledge that we didn't book this room type and that clearly we had be allocated the wrong room due to overbooking. Luckily they moved us the next morning and the second double room was much better. We booked their third party airport transfer through their website. I understand this is not the hotels responsibility but we simply asked them if they could call the company to rearrange the time of the pickup for us, she was quite rude when I asked mocking me wanting to change pick up time, begrudgingly made the call and seemed quite pleased when it wasn't possible to change.

I would recommend Flacalco to someone who doesn't care so much about service as the hotel itself is nice, and the location was super convinient, but service could be so...

We just spend 2 weeks here with my family, in the new remodel apartments in the building we’re reception is , Very friendly staff , checking in /out when smoothly, also nice recommendations from restaurants till were to have a good pedicure from miss Elena , parking in the surrounding is very easy en as long is yellow line “ is for free ! Also very central to everything ( Cala Ratjada is a very small town but with everything what’s needed) Sinds unlimited nice food restaurants till supermarkets , shops, nice calas etc … from this location is possible to walk everywhere, Back to the hotel ( if you need to use the safe or towels ask in advance by checking in and you need to pay a deposit 💵 that is given back once you bring the stuff back) Nice size pool were surprise , lucky not so overloaded with people , Breakfast is better to arrange direct by the hotel and not via booking.com, ( cheaper) and is worthy Very variable fruits veggies and all the nice things tipical of Spanish cuisine. As a coffee lover ( coffee could be better ) the area for breakfast is nice and modern with enough airco you will enjoy before heading to the hit of the beaches, ( also you need to pay in advance every time, because they don’t have a system that charge to the room) what is actually not a problem 😉you can make use of the breakfast when you need it,

The only min punt ( is the cleaning 🧹 ) it can be improved…. But overall experience is a 9!

Thanks to miss Elena , for helping and been involved in any single detail, hotel is lucky enough to have such a brilliant helpful person like her! ( do not ever let her go) and as a client ask her anything , she will help you willing and always with a big smile 😊

Until a next time !...

I've stayed in this hotel for 5 nights with my girlfriend.

Pros: The lobby and pool area are beautifully designed. It was a pleasure to sit in the lobby, relax at the bar, or play pool. The bar staff were nice and helpful. The breakfasts were satisfactory, with no complaints at all!

Cons: The rooms are not soundproof at all! We could hear everything our neighbors were doing, as well as the noise from the street. The staff's English proficiency was quite limited, making communication difficult at times. During our stay, there was an unfortunate incident involving some neighboring students. They were staying four people in a room meant for two and were extremely loud and disruptive at 4 am! They ran in the corridor, knocked on our door, and even jumped into the pool during closed hours. Although we complained to the night receptionist, his limited English skills hindered the resolution of the situation. The next day, the hotel didn't offer any compensation or solution, but upon our request, they agreed to move us to another room to avoid further incidents. In our room, the refrigerator and a shelf were broken. Additionally, the toilet seat in our room was cracked. After we checked-out and handed over the keys to receptionist and flew back home, the manager of the hotel contacted us and told us to pay for another night because he was not aware that we checked out. He said that our personal belongings were still in the room. After a brief conversation, it turned out that he was checking the wrong room.

Currently staying at the hotel and it’s been amazing. The manager and other employees are so friendly and kind and go out of the way to do anything for you. Every request I’ve made, they have helped me with. Cleaners come to the room everyday so far to change towels and sheets. Leave dirty towels on the floor and they then replace them. There are two pools. We’ve used one. Not a lot of sun beds around the pool we use but it’s not been a problem, everyday we have sun beds to lay on. Swimming pool and all areas super clean. Water fresh and warm. Yummy cocktails and good breakfast buffet choice. Everyone has been really friendly and we brought our baby, they’ve accommodated him and all his needs - providing a cot and high chair etc. fairly close to two beaches, lotssss of restaurants and also bars, shops etc. supermarket one minute away. Walking distance to the port. I preferred the beach nearest to the port, umbrella and sun bed €7.25 each. Not bad price and near the shop and bars. Have toilet on the beach. Room is slightly small but we do have a buggy and got etc so that takes up space. Hope to return here one day! Thanks everyone.
