Plaza Massima — Restaurant in Caravaca de la Cruz

Awful place, everyone left waiting at the entrance. Staff no idea what was happening & complete lack of interest in serving. Lots of food going back. Had to send wife's main back 3 times as we'd ordered a starter & explained that to the waiter (in Spanish). Same main came back a 4th time so just kept it on the side, a soggy 'Caesar salad' with bread pieces rather than croutons, swimming in bottled sauce & a bag of limp leaves - there's a reason this salad uses crisp leaves. That was better than the nachos (ordered croquettes to be told they had sold out so assume they're bought in as well) which were a pile of chips with a sprinkle of cheese & some token onions with a little salsa & bottled guacamole. Chicken & chips was chosen having seen the awful attempts at other meals, barely cooked chicken (faintly pink, decided to risk it) & floppy chips - maybe warmed up in the microwave given the above re. salad & starter. A great place to eat or just have a drink in a great location in the centre of town with a very nice relaxed atmosphere. The menu here is from a download and has a wide choice of tasty local and western meals with a good selection of drinks. There is plenty of nice outdoor and indoor seating. All the latest covid rules are adhered to here by the staff and tables were cleaned with fresh covering after each customer. My party of 10 were served quickly, politely and efficiently and the billing was accurate, we all enjoyed our time here, well done to the waiting staff ! Ayer día 1 de Mayo teníamos reserva a las 13:15 y llegamos a las 13:25,(debido al ambientazo de gente que había y el lugar donde aparcamos nos pillaba retirado),esperamos pues había gente para confirmar su llegada y cuando nos atiende el chico son las 13:35.Nos dice que a las 14:30 como muy tarde la mesa tiene que estar vacía,a lo que respondemos que con 2 niños menores no podemos comer a tragon en 30 minutos y que depende de la rapidez del servicio de cocina.Su respuesta fue pues esque entre una cosa y otra os atenderán sobre las 14:00h y le repetimos en 30 minutos y con 2 niños es muy a la ligera danos la mesa y cuando acabe la cocina de servir y hayamos comido dejamos libre.Nos contesta de forma altanera que si ya empezamos así que no nos da la mesa y coge y pone cancelada.Pues tal cual la canceló y se quedó murmurando con otra mujer que allí había.Me parece vergonzosa la actitud de dicho chico,muy poca empatía y tacto hacia la gente.Detras nuestra salió otra pareja hablando lo mismo que si le daban mesa no era para que metiesen prisa en el tiempo en el que has de comer;se va a pagar el servicio y necesito un tiempo considerable para ello.Desde luego e resto de personal nose como será pero este chico no veneficia en nada a la imagen...
