Bar Plaza — Restaurant in Carmona

After a long search for a “menú del día” we stumbled into Bar Plaza. It seems this is the only place in the old part of Carmona offering a lunch menu around noon. We were surprised in a very pleasant way. As starters we had spinach with chickpeas, fried eggplant with honey and a green salad. All starters were very tasty. Our main dishes: cola de toro (bulls tail), sword fish and calzo en adobo (fried fish). They were all cooked and seasoned nicely. The menu includes dessert. For 11,- EUR per person, this meal has it all, great taste, good size and nice price. Espresso at the end rounded up the experience. Keep up...

I appreciated the feedback from the business.

I felt even worse after learning I was charged for “several coffees and toasts”.

I wasn’t being asked if I was paying for others (who were the others?!) and wasn’t informed the minimum charge when paying with aa card. I ordered clearly one black coffee and one toast.

My advice: if anyone wants to have coffee here: Clarify the minimum charge with card payment, make it clear if you only pay for yourself and check the bill before paying.

El peor bar en el que he comido en toda mi vida. Fuimos a finales de febrero. Tardaron mucho tiempo en atendernos. Al cabo de una hora, no nos habían traído ni agua. Pasada una hora más, nos volvieron a pedir porque la primera vez no lo habían apuntado (el camarero se había dejado el lápiz). Nos trajeron cubiertos sucios y una cesta de pan en la que alguien ya había comido. El local también estaba muy sucio y en la barra había montañas de platos sin fregar. Me dio asco. En cuanto a la comida, después de más de dos horas de esperar, nos sirvieron unos de los peores platos que hemos comido y encima estaban fríos. Si tenían demasiada gente y no nos podían atender, nos lo tendrían que haber dicho y habríamos buscado otro bar.
