Booked a table for four at 13-00 all wanting the advertised menu del dia. We were greeted by two friendly waitresses and picked a nice spot in the shade. We probably chose 3 of the 4 starters and the same for the mains. Everything was freshly cooked and arrived together and hot. There were 4 desserts, however the Black Forest Gateau was picked with a choice of ice cream, fresh cream or squiry cream and spotted dick with custard. Arrived Sunday 1.45pm asked if they had a table for lunch for 2 .I said no problem if you are busy.Lee said he would get a table set up for 2pm.At 2.30pm still waiting.At 2.45 Lee said he would set a table up for next sitting.I asked what time that would be and was told 3.15pm.I said sorry its too late for us.Wasted an hour! This was our first time at La Palmera and it was amazing. The Sunday sharing platter didn’t disappoint- really well cooked meat, loved the cauliflower cheese and the roast potatos were wonderful. Highlight for me was the chocolate cheesecake. I normally avoid chocolate but this was exceptionally light and the perfect end to our meal.
