Restaurant was empty at 8pm on arrival which was surprising given the lovely setting. Menu selection wasn’t great especially if you are a tourist. Sturgeon and eel not exactly top of many people’s list. For starters we had sardines with bread and tomato. No issues with the sardines and tomato but the bread wasn’t fully baked, the dough was still wet and sticky in the middle. Very poor. For mains we had the entrecôte steak and red tuna dishes. The steak was like leather and overcooked (I asked for medium). It was so tough, couldn’t finish it. The red tuna tasted fresh but it was smothered in this thick brown and white sauce with no taste which ruined it. It was like a plate of faeces sorry to say. Told the waitress at the end the dishes were very poor quality given the price paid. Aside from an apology nothing else done for us. Left assured we wouldn’t be...

Nicely located directly at the Mar Menor. Stunning sunsets and great food. Unfortunately the service is not up to the rest of this location. Hence only 4 stars… you should not let the customer fill the wine into the glass. A bit more attention and 5 stars can easily be reached.

Edit 9.10.21: Oops they did it … again: Quality of food stil nice, but yet again the service is not attentive. It always starts nice, when you are guided to your table and a very friendly waitress takes your order. But then… not once were our wine glasses refilled after the initial filling, even though we had 3 bottles (amongst 5). For a Restaurante of such quality (and price) we expect service which is up to the standard. Try El Secreto Lounge in Mar de Cristal to see the difference. Still 4...

We had a lovely evening. Spoilt, as our group of 4 and a local couple were the only diners that cold and windy evening in early March. The menu selection and service was very good and the wine list matched the food very well. Our group of 4 was made up of 1 x very fussy in law(pork - excellent), 1 x very critical in law (steak - excellent), 1 x semi adventurous partner(pork - excellent) and 1 x loves to try anything new (pigs ear starter- new one to me and would definitely have it again. On this occasion, Maloca achieved the almost impossible and we all left full, happy and very content bunnies. We will come back again (well 2 of us will) during the summer months, when we will be able to take in the sunset over the Mar Menor as well the excellent...

This was a treat from our children who came with us, along with grandchildren. To start this is in a beautiful setting and looks attractive as a place to eat or drink. We had come for a late lunch, so not overly busy but the staff were lovely and very helpful with the grandchildren. We had a lovely view out to the beach. We all got a bit carried away with our food orders, but only because we didn’t know the size of the portions. I ordered the dogfish listed as a starter but it was enough to share between 2 and possibly 3. Apart from that the food was delicious and well worth the taxi ride here. Didn’t have dessert as we were all so full after starters and mains.

Nice restaurant, clean, very friendly staff, a bit noisy but nice atmosphere. However please go only if you wish to feel fancy, and don’t go or avoid if you are hungry, because you would likely need 2 - 3 main courses in order to feel well. Starters ware not included in the paper menu but them are kindly explain to you by staff members, however no prices are mentioned. My conclusion is that owners of this establishment are very concerned about my siluete and decided to get my wallet lighter and make sure that I’m not getting fat. I did tried to be optimistic and I gave as many stars I could, but I didn’t think that I will ever come back.
