Restaurante Piccolo & Tandoori — Restaurant in Cartagena

Think I've just had the best Indian food I've ever eaten, and that includes eating in India itself. The flavours were fantastic, and the spice levels spot on. Had Jalfrazi and Japuri chicken at 'half madras' heat, perfection - nose started running about halfway way through. I'm sitting here now finishing my beer and still have the flavour of peppers, mushrooms, and all the spices. Should also mention the starters, veg samosa and pakoras, up there with the best I've had. Of course, it's an Indian so there were poppadoms, the sauces/pickles were lovely too.

They also do a Mediterranean menu, the Pizzas were recommended by a fellow diner.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just had an absolutely marvellous meal of the Indian Menu. Best Lamb Madras I’ve had in years and the wife’s said her Lamb Jaipuairi was spectacular. The food, the service and the restaurant itself was exceptional. I’m looking forward to going back in the coming weeks.

I posted the above last year and I've been looking forward with so much anticipation to re-visting it again. We went back again and the standard of food, welcome and that "little bit more" to help us enjoy our meal is fantastic. From Sharon welcoming us, taking our orders and preferences (not too hot, a bit more...) you get the idea. Harry on front of house and the kitchen staff preparing what you order, sin not to go...

Visited Piccolo and Tandoori several times throughout our visit both for Indian and Pizza and both were excellent and worth visiting! Staff were Indian and were very friendly and approachable. We loved the food both nationalities alternating on our visits. A bit of advice which happened a couple of times in different restaurants is to check your order twice before it goes to the kitchen as some dishes might appear different which we put down to being "Lost in translation!" From Yerkshere into fluent Spanish! 😂😂 Having said that the dishes that did appear were still fab!!!! 👍 Reservations not required out of main...
