Gastrokook — Restaurant in Castellar de la Frontera

The patisserie was discovered back in December last year and strongly recommended by our daughter. Being in the area, we popped into Gastrokook. The lack of time did not allow us to stop, but we placed our order with them, and the day after left with three boxes full of goodies. All croissants we tried ; pistachio, mascarpone, lemon, almonds, as well as mandarin and lemon bizcochos were delicious. This place is a gem! Good coffee (they have a moccamaster with pretty good beans in it and this is a rare find in the area) but what’s best is the sweets! French croissant (variety), pain au chocolat, palmier and delicious, creamy cheescakes (payoyo cheescake is a local specialty - made with goat cheese from Grazalema).
