O Amanexo Gastrobar — Restaurant in Cedeira

Awful experience. The kitchen is inside the restaurant. Our tables were filled with smoke. We opened our window (like 3 other windows that were open) but we had to shut them again. Our relatives started coughing (some are asmatic) and we tried to talk with the manager. He was very unfriendly, aggresive even, so the local cops were called to discuss the matter. Again, horrible experience. They sat me in front of a fridge of soda, which they had to open every 5 minutes. Wow. In Cedeira, there are tons of places to eat well and O Amanexo is among the best. Many things on the menu are a modern twist on a traditional dish and everything we had was tasty and quite abundant. We ordered 4 raciones for the 3 of us and it was too much food (this was dinner). Of the 4, the risotto negro was, hands down, our favorite (and the only one w/out a photo).

Pedimos tres platos a compartir, y la experiencia fue de menos a más. El primero fue un pastel de bonito algo insípido, acompañado con pesto y confitura de tomate que tampoco acaban de redondear el plato y una mayonesa de kimchee que siendo lo más destacable resultaba insuficiente para darle una gran nota. El segundo fue un risotto de arroz negro con puntillas, y al igual que el primer plato, nos resultó algo soso pero mejoraba bastante con el alioli que lo acompañaba, así como las puntillitas de calamar que estaban muy buenas. Para cerrar los principales, una croca de rubia gallega, una carne espectacular en el punto justo que se les pidió y que se deshacía en la boca. El postre, un lingote de Nutella que hizo las delicias de todo, pero especialmente del peque de la casa. El atención sensacional, el local y el ambiente agradables.
