Taberna Praza do Peixe — Restaurant in Cedeira

So it looked promising from the outside on account of the nice decoration. But then the food came. Seven euro for a sliced tomato salad. A wet torta with absolutely no spice or flavor. Just wet mush. I wanted to cry when I was eating it. This was the worst dish I’ve ever eaten. The calamari was ok. Then the bill came for 40€ and I wanted to cry again. We were traveling through northern Spain. This small restaurant had been recommended to us by friends who had been there a few years ago.

We ate barnacles, clams, a fish similar to the shark and some beef with pepper sauce. It's a shame we didn't get to try more, but the dishes are large.

The waiters were very attentive. They tried to speak English to help us, and the menu is also...

We were on the verge of leaving, as we waited a long time for our food. We hoped it was worth the wait. It was worth the wait, because we had the best cod croquetas...ever. Followed by a huge portion of cuttlefish and white rice, which was delicious.
