I’m coeliac and asked the waitress many times about gluten free options. They did not seem to have an allergen menu (even though by law they have to). They made me believe they knew what it meant, but they did not. After asking a thousand times about desert options, they brought me an ice cream with biscuit crumbs in it!! It was dark and you can’t really see your food, so I ate some of it (until I got suspicious with the texture, and used a torch to see it). The worst of it all is that they have no idea about allergies or what they mean. They kept asking me if “I could just take a pill” or “whether I was just gonna get a stomach ache”. They are all extremely unprofessional. I’m still in shock, this has never happened to me. The food is average and overpriced, it’s made somewhere else and 3 people plate it (no wonder why they have no idea about what’s in their food and what an allergy means). I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else, because it’s ruined the rest of my holidays, and playing with allergies is...
Read moreTonight's experience felt like a test if maybe one day this staff could run a restaurant. Well, right now they cannot. We were left alone for twenty minutes, even though trying to get someone's attention. No one knew anything about white wine, so we picked one which was served way too warm. Some starters were served before we had drinks and were almost removed again... "No drinks? Ah, you can eat them without." Ceviche was meant to be part of the starters, but "you can eat that with the sushi." Who determines the order of food? Not the customer apparently. Overall a completely unacceptable service. The food was ok, but nothing special and definitely overpriced. Constructive criticism: if you are seriously understaffed, don't try to run a restaurant, even if only half full. And train your front of house! The menu can do with less options and the prices should...
Read moreThe view? Gorgeous. The rest? A masterclass in how to disappoint at €200 per table.
We kindly mentioned multiple times that it was my birthday—clearly not fishing for confetti, just maybe a candle. They informed us (with a straight face) that they’d run out. Fair enough, things happen. Then we asked for two espressos… but alas, the coffee machine had also decided to take the night off. In peak season. Convenient.
The real showstopper, though, was the manager—who added a sprinkle of hostility just as we were paying. No apology, no gesture, not even a token limoncello to soften the blow. A simple “we’re sorry” or two symbolic cocktails could’ve salvaged the evening. But no. Not their style, apparently.
In short: a lovely place for a fast cocktail and a photo for 200 euro. Just don’t expect warmth, service, or coffee.
We...
