L'Antoxu Gastro Truck — Restaurant in Cudillero

A lovely terrace in the sunshine with plenty of shade for those seeking it. It appears like there are three businesses in one, a bar, a shop & L'Antoxu. The staff at L'Antoxu were really nice, friendly, polite & efficient, however sadly we felt that the food was underwhelming given the excellent reviews which is why we made quite an effort to come here. The cooked elements were cooked well but were like mass-produced supermarket frozen food thrown into a deep fat fryer & disappointing. The chicken strips tasted ok, presented in a cone with a plastic pot of curry sauce. A mention that the croquettes contained garlic would have been nice as we would never have ordered them had we known. Whilst the presentation of the croquettes was fine as part of a buffet, on their own would have been nicer presented with a salad garnish. They were also crying out for a salsa dip or redcurrant sauce. We also had a salad, which was presented well but mediocre in size for the price & would have benefitted with being offered with a nice fresh vinegar dressing.

L'Antoxu is perfect for a group of friends meeting for an afternoon social where it's nice to have some finger food on the table, and where the food isn't going to be the main event as it was...

Estupendo! Lo primero es entender el sitio, se trata de un Foodtruck colocado al lado de un bar. Todas las mesas son exteriores, algunas cubiertas por un porche. Encargas la comida aquí y la bebida en el bar. Te sientas y esperas a degustar una buenísima cena a un precio honesto. He estado varias veces, para mí lo mejor el brioche y después la hamburguesa, pero todo lo que he probado está increíble, pero sobre todo quiero destacar a los chicos que lo llevan. Currantes natos, se matan a correr para que te llegue la comida lo antes posible y siempre preocupados de que estés bien, que te haya gustado, aún estando abarrotado! Necesitamos más sitios con esta calidad y este nivel de atención que cada vez más se está perdiendo!...

Excellent service, tasty home-cooked food. Pulled beef brioche and chicken were particularly great. And to top everything the bar Cai Milio has a superb wine selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We will be back for...
