hi I've been a regular customer of darbar for now for years ....the food is usually OK but sometimes can be off abit but I've always over looked all because being from London and loving curry's there is just not much choice ..... but what happened to me and my two small pampered dogs was a step to far....a waitress brought my menu over to ask if my dogs attack and I said no she then called them ugly and they smell to which I said you smell and I'm leaving .... she then went on to say my two small pug dogs look like they are violent to which I up and left and as I was leaving the manager just stood there and watch me leave .....my dogs were tied under the table on the terrace outside where they were eating and did nothing wrong .....they would not hurt anyone other than give you loads of kisses .....IM NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS DOG...

Visité Darbar Indian Restaurant en la Carretera de les Marines en Dénia con muchas ganas de disfrutar de una buena comida india. Desde el principio, el ambiente del local me pareció correcto, sin grandes pretensiones en cuanto a decoración, aunque creo que la limpieza podría mejorar un poco. El servicio fue amable, aunque un poco lento en algunos momentos.

Pasando a la comida, el Chicken Tikka Masala fue sin duda lo mejor de la cena. La salsa estaba muy bien equilibrada, con ese punto especiado y cremoso que hace que este plato sea tan popular. El pollo estaba tierno y absorbía muy bien los sabores de la salsa, así que este plato me dejó más que satisfecho. El Butter Chicken también fue una grata sorpresa. La textura de la salsa era perfecta, muy cremosa y con el toque justo de dulzor y especias. Se notaba que estos platos estaban bien trabajados y preparados con mimo.

Sin embargo, no todo fue tan positivo. El Chicken Korma fue una gran decepción. Esperaba un plato con una salsa untuosa y llena de matices, pero en su lugar me encontré con una preparación demasiado líquida y sin apenas sabor. No tenía la profundidad ni el toque característico del coco y los frutos secos que suelen hacer que este plato sea tan especial. Fue sin duda lo más flojo de la noche. También pedí un entrante, el Puri Prawn, que tampoco me convenció. El puri no tenía la textura adecuada y los langostinos no tenían un sabor destacable, lo que hizo que fuera un plato completamente prescindible.

El pan naan, que en otros restaurantes suele ser un acompañamiento estrella, aquí no me pareció nada especial. Ni la textura ni el sabor destacaban especialmente, así que fue más bien un acompañamiento sin pena ni gloria.

En general, mi experiencia en Darbar Indian Restaurant tuvo altibajos. Si volviera, sin duda repetiría el Chicken Tikka Masala y el Butter Chicken, que fueron lo mejor de la cena, pero evitaría el Chicken Korma y el Puri Prawn, que no me parecieron para nada recomendables. El naan tampoco fue memorable, y creo que el servicio podría mejorar en rapidez y atención a los detalles. Es un restaurante que tiene potencial, pero necesita pulir algunos aspectos para ofrecer una experiencia...

We regularly go to Indian restaurants in the UK and Spain, so were looking forward to a nice meal. Unfortunately it was far below expectations, over half of it was left. My husbands Madras was bland and my Jalfrazi was more like a Vindaloo. The nan bread was flat like a chapatti and the rice was so salty it was inedible. To make matters worse when we complained a member of staff, she said to her taste it wasn't too salty and maybe we weren't used to salt, which I found quite insulting. I would give this a 1 star review, except that the 'Manager' came over to apologise and said the meal was on the house and he had spoken to the chef about it. Despite his offer of a free meal next time, we won't be...
