Looked better than it was. Starters were decent but the mains were pretty average. A “cod with potatoes” was actually ‘Bacalhau à Brás’: nice as that Portuguese dish is, it was definitely not what we expected nor wanted. Also, for a 200+ cover restaurant we would have expected more than one infants seat (we needed two - but they should have at least ten, given the proximity to the beach and the fact that they have a slide); moreover, we would have expected to have been seated in the cooler indoor area rather than outside, where our three kids were expected to roast in the heat: we had a reservation and had said that we had two babies and a toddler, and there was plenty of space inside… they just clearly hadn’t thought about our needs. Generally felt looked down on by the staff and not properly waited on (they either weren’t there at all, or they hovered too much). All in all not a very good experience, although setting is nice and the food is passable. Aim to sit inside, and don’t expect good service. We had been going to this restaurant for several years. The location is convenient — close to the sea, and the interior is pleasant. The food isn’t exactly amazing (except for the deep-fried calamari — a personal recommendation), but it’s decent for the price.

BUT! There are two very rude women working as hostesses, wearing white t-shirts. It feels like we didn’t come to a restaurant to pay for a meal, but rather like we showed up uninvited at their home. This completely ruins the experience of visiting this place. They act like they’re doing us a huge favor just by letting us in. It’s very strange to be treated like this every time.

No soy un hater, de hecho suelo hacer sólo reseña cuando me ha gustado el sitio. Pero en este caso, no puedo mas que trasmitir mi decepción. Llevo yendo a este restaurante, al menos 5 años y año a año, la sensación es de degradación, no tanto por la comida, que bueno, si bien los precios son altos pero se pueden entender por la alta demanda, la ubicación al lado de la playa y que su modelo de negocio es de restaurante de alta calidad, los arroces siguen estando muy buenos, pero sí por el trato, el servicio y los detalles. Por un lado, nos han tratado como ganado, en el modo, siéntete ahi aunque tenga varias mesas por llenar, (nos han dado una mesa de 4 para seis y he comido con el cesto de pan a la derecha del plato y la botella de vino a la izquierda, cuidando toda la velada de no moverme mucho, no vaya a tirar algo. Los entrantes, cada vez mas caros para lo que son, y el pan, el alioli y hasta las servilletas te las cobran x2. Un cueNquito de alioli y dos rebanadas de pan salen a 3 o 4 euros. Que bueno, estas en un restaurante caro y sabes que si pueden te cobran la silla y el mantel, pero es que encima, tardan horrores en reponerte de lo basico (una servilleta, un cubierto que se ha caido, un cesto de pan)..... Pero lo mas insultante ha sido el final. Nos ha sobrado un poco de arroz y hemos pedido poder llevarnoslo. Legalmente obligados y legalmente deben fomentar (gratuitamente) el uso de envases fácilmente reciclables o reutilizables. Y resulta que los envases lo son: envases de carton y una bolsa del mismo material... Perfecto para el médio ambiente y para evitar tirar comida y generar toneladas de desperdicio.... Y van y para poner la guinda, te cobran el recipiente (de carton a 5centimos) a 1 EURAZO!!!!! Ole el sacar beneficio de cualquier cosa. Perdonad el royo. Sé que no valdrá de mucho. Mi grano de arena es no volver a este restaurante. Se seguirá llenando y cobrando por las sobras el pan y respirar, pero al menos, intentaré no volver a contribuir en que se...
