Lunch on 5th September. I would have given and extra half star for the food because it was excellent. We had the mixed fish platter - a section of 4 different "catch of the day" straight off the plancha, and this afforded the chance to savour the different tastes and textures. Staff shortages - probably a result of Covid, (where have all the restaurant staff gone to? ) -meant being patient was a well worth while attribute. Great selection of wines, especially Albarinos, with their house version, absolutely gorgeous! Have reserved a table in this very popular - for all the right reasons - for dinner later this week. We stopped here for lunch en route to the waterfall. The food was absolutely delicious, the service fantastic and the terrace is only a few metres from the beach with a great view. Although we love the food in this part of Galicia, it can get a bit ‘samey’, so it was great to find a restaurant that took the best Galician seafood and produce but with a more gastronomic approach. Llamamos a las 11:00 para hacer una reserva para ese mismo día (8 personas) y nos dijeron que estaba todo ocupado, incluso nos dieron el teléfono de otro bar que nos recomendaban. Que ellos lo más que podían hacer eran ponernos en cola para comer sobre las 4 de la tarde. Llamamos al otro sitio y nos dijeron que también estaban completos, que lo sentían. Les llamamos para que nos cogieran a las 4 y nos dijeron que había una mesa a las 2 que no habían confirmado el almuerzo todavía y que los iban a llamar a ver si iban a ir al final. Al final nos dieron la reserva de los que al final no iban a venir, y nos advertieron de que estaban en fiestas y que no tenían mucho personal para la cantidad de gente que habría en el local, que tuvieramos un poco de calma (es raro que te avisen). Llegamos a la hora que nos dijeron y era muy bonito el sitio, frente a la playa. La verdad es que tardamos un poco en comer, pero mereció la pena, que para algo estamos de vacaciones, y los camareros son personas, no animales con un yugo. La comida deliciosa, la parrillada de pescado riquisima y superfresco, zamburiñas espectaculares, el chuletón que se comieron los 2 niños ..... SIN PALABRAS. Los postres muy buenos.
