This restaurant is in Palau d'Anglesola, a small village close to Lleida. I was born in a town nearby so, knowing the area by heart, it has been a great surprise to find a restaurant like this one.
In short: it is a must. It has been a great experience.
The location and the infrastructure could be improved yet they an amazing job considering the limitations. Some staff can become more skilled as well -time will help-. Yet the most important thing, the food served, is just amazing: I'm positive you will enjoy no matter what you choose. I'm just looking to come back to check on the rest of the menu I did not manage to taste today.
Tapas, rices, fish, meats... Every single plate is a sensorial experience as the taste is awesome but also the visual presentation is extremely carefully executed.
Price is totally ok: you would easly pay double for a similar restaurant in Barcelona.
Back to the place itself, you can notice it use to be a bar before as they have kept the bar distribution, especially the bar with all the bottles in the wall. It is not an issue today, actually I love the decoration in place and, especially at night, the place is really cool, warm and romantic. My only concern is that they might have issues to scale this place or bring it to a next level of excellence.
Good selection of wines as well, prioritizing local ones.

Comenzaré destacando dos platos que, en mi opinión, son luna buena muestra de lo que Fogot ofrece. El steak tartar es simplemente sublime. Preparado con una precisión que roza el arte, cada bocado era un testimonio de la calidad de los ingredientes y la maestría culinaria. La mezcla de sabores y texturas hacía que cada tenedor fuera una exploración de gustos que, francamente, me dejaba deseando más.
El briox de mantequilla relleno de carrillera de ternera con su jugo y velo de parmesano es otra obra maestra, donde la ternura de la carrillera, perfectamente cocinada, se complementa con la riqueza del briox y el toque del parmesano.
El servicio en Fogot es otro punto a destacar. Desde la calidez de la bienvenida hasta la atención meticulosa durante la comida, el equipo hizo que nuestra visita fuera especial. Es evidente que no solo se preocupan por la calidad de la comida, sino también por la experiencia completa del cliente.
Fogot es el tipo de lugar donde te sientes igualmente cómodo celebrando una ocasión especial o simplemente disfrutando de una excelente comida en buena compañía.
Altamente recomendado para aquellos que buscan disfrutar de la alta cocina en su máxima expresión.
