Bombay Hindu restaurant Elche — Restaurant in Elx / Elche

We visited this Indian restaurant for a family lunch with two small children. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially towards the kids, which we really appreciated.

We opted for the lunch menu. One thing to note: the price charged (€12.95) did not match the price advertised outside (€11.95). It’s not a huge difference, but still something guests should be informed about in advance.

The portions were generous — you definitely get a lot of food for the price. The vegetable samosas tasted good, but unfortunately some were still cold and slightly frozen in the center. The decorative salad on the plate looked old and dried out, so it really felt like it was only there for show.

The lunch menu includes a drink. On the bill, the cheaper drinks (the cañas) were counted as the included ones, while the more expensive drinks (the mango lassis) were charged separately. Not a huge issue, but not the most customer-friendly way to handle it.

The mango lassis as such unfortunately were very disappointing. They were thin, watery, and tasted like they hadn’t seen a real mango or any proper dairy - they tasted more like a diluted yogurt drink with artificial flavoring.

On the positive side, the main dishes were tasty and well-seasoned, and the rice was nicely done as well. Desserts seemed store-bought, but considering the lunch menu price, it was acceptable.

I like that they prepare food as i asked and they put a lot meat inside dish, which is really cool, they are not gredy people, i like service, food, i will go for sure more in this place in future.
