Comedor Vegetariano — Restaurant in Elx / Elche

The staff were nice and polite but the service was extremely poor and the food very bland. We wouldn't go again.

I have just read the owner's reply to my comment above, so I would like to point out that vegetarian food does not have to be bland - although their remark implies that it does! I have often enjoyed well cooked tasty vegetarian food elsewhere, but it is not available at this restaurant. The tagliatelle pasta dish contained mushrooms which my pregnant vegetarian daughter-in-law doesn't like, so she asked for them not to to be added. Obviously the dishes are not prepared fresh and from scratch as they couldn't do this but instead served her a dish of overcooked, unsalted spaghetti with square cheese slices 20 minutes after the rest of us had received our food. Went to this place yesterday , such a bad experience . As working in the food industry myslef I know how important it is to always put customers first and I am really not one to complain but felt the staff were very rude and not very friendly at all . one man in particular I explained to him that I was vegan and he didn’t seem to care at all. I also have an intorence to dairy . And he gave me a dish that was not vegan and was so sick throughout the day from the food. El mejor vegetariano de Elche, calidad/precio insuperable. Todos los platos que he probado están buenísimos y recuerdan totalmente a la comida casera.

Es recomendable reservar si vas en grupo. Se puede pedir medio menú y puedes llevarte comida a casa. El menú hoy son 9€ e incluye, bebida, postre, infusión, primer y segundo plato.

Aseguro que la calidad de la cocina no tiene nada que envidiar a restaurantes de nombre de Elche.

Recomiendo probar la nata vegetal y como apunte final, las mesas se comparten no son individuales.

Como sugerencia a la hora de mejorar el servicio valoraría que si se come en pareja traigan los platos más o menos al mismo tiempo para que uno no termine mucho más rápido...
