This restaurant never fails to please. The combination of a simple menu, just four choices for each course, with well chosen ingredients, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented by a friendly team is always a delight. High spots of today's menus for me were their chicken salad starter with a mustard dressing, pluma iberica, just the tenderest cut of pork in a rich sauce, followed by a delicious tarte tatin. At €21.50 per head to include some fine house tempranillo, this is excellent value for money and so much better than most of the restaurants in the tourist hot spots. Disappointed that the salad of zamburiñas y jamón, was completely missing the jamón. Disappointed that we were not offered postres or café, although the table next to us was. First courses were good, but then the magret was too much cooked, it had to be "rosé" and the two desserts were without interest (fondat and crème brûlée). So with that, that would be 4 stars but I remove another star because of the service which totally lacked warmth. It was slow and not very attentive.
