First of all I want to say, I rarely write google reviews, good or bad but I feel tonight I have to say this. I live next door to this restaurant and I have been consistent in there all through the winter months and sometimes we have doubled up the numbers on quieter nights. Generally we go to this restaurant because it is close and easy. Not because it is value for money. If anything it is expensive. Tonight we went in and as usual all the staff were amazing to us like they always are. Sadly our favourite Spanish waitress (the older Spanish lady with the blonde hair) was not working.
We arrived at 7.4pm and by 9pm our food still had not arrived. Conscious of not wanting to eat late I asked for the manager and I explained our situation. A very young, pretty (and clearly inexperienced female manager) immediately started arguing with me saying that it had only been 30 minutes. Not a sorry, just a young immature, girl with a lack of experience arguing back of how wrong I was. I want to add I have that much respect for the restaurant, I did not even speak to her at the table, I specifically went to the cash desk so as not to make a scene in front of other diners but the young manageress just wanted a fight - even when her own staff backed me up and said I was right she still kept going. Anyway as person that has several businesses off my own, I did not let her ruin my night. We ate a delicious meal and tipped the staff and left.
As we left to exit, all the staff said thankyou and were polite as always. The manageress sat at the edge of the bar and was smug —Likely sat on instagram (where her social skills would be right for) Customer service is clearly not her strong point. I can afford to eat anywhere- but if good clients do not come, she will be looking for the next job. Again, age brings experience. I will not lie as a regular of the restaurant I am upset about tonight, but the rest of the Trocadero team (and particularly the hostess who was absolutely amazing, articulate and well educated ) made our night as good as it can be.
I have been in this restaurant before and the food has been late and I have never bad reviewed. This review has been written because of my experience with the manageress. Had she had just have said “sorry let me sort it for you” - nothing more would have ever have been said or written about the experience. Instead she wanted to argue and tell me that the food was not expensive which just made the situation worse! because it is definitely is expensive for what it is)
I want to be clear from the managers response when she is saying i said” it is to expensive for me” that I never said this or I would not be dining in there in the first place . Let’s be clear “ I said it is very expensive for what it is”

We recently visited this lovely restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday, accompanied by close family and friends. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. We were promptly escorted to our table, which was set outdoors with a stunning view overlooking both the sea and the pool area — a perfect and serene start to what turned out to be a truly enjoyable evening.
The décor strikes just the right balance between relaxed and refined. It's an inviting space that works beautifully for both intimate dinners and lively group gatherings. There’s a genuine sense of comfort and elegance throughout the venue.
As we had already enjoyed a lunch earlier that day, we decided to skip the starters and go straight to the main courses. Our party ordered a variety of dishes including the roasted chicken, fillet steak, a tomahawk steak for two, and the spaghetti vongole. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour — the quality of the ingredients and care in preparation really shone through. If there was one minor note, it would be that the selection of accompanying vegetables could have been a bit broader to complement the mains.
The drinks menu is impressively curated. We began the evening with a few well-crafted cocktails and then moved on to a bottle of Barolo, which paired wonderfully with our meal. As a special toast for the birthday celebration, we ended with a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs — a perfect finale.
Dessert was another highlight of the evening. The pavlova and chocolate fondant were especially memorable — both decadent and beautifully prepared.
All in all, this was a fantastic venue for a celebration. The atmosphere, service, and quality of food and drink combined to create a wonderful experience that we’ll remember fondly. Highly recommended for a special occasion or simply a delightful...

The Trocodero has a sea view and a swimming pool that plays slightly loud music most of the time if you want to swim with your meal!
We arrived at the newly opened restaurant for an important birthday celebration (40). We bought a cake with 2 candles for the 3 generations to enjoy but the woman at the entrance said NO! (The waiter later said yes but we had no time left in the schedule and the group had already been disappointed from the off). On opening the menu the prices were relatively expensive and rather curiously much of the fish menu was for 2 persons. Presumably so it could be filleted during the service en Gueridon. Well we ordered and managed to include a bowl of macaroni (it was penne) in tomato sauce for the youngest child, it was just a jar of sauce mixed in , not exactly €15 worth of care and attention. A selection of fish was ordered and arrived in a reasonable time generaly the fish was nicely cooked and tasty, good points to the Chef, however the vegetables were completely lack lustre even at a cafe standard not quite in line with the pricing. One of the grandchildren had a plate of spicy potatoes with serrano ham the other Pasta, 5 of us had various fish dishes one was filleted at the table, 2 didn't seem to have vegetables included on the side. Portion sizes were average on the smaller side the wine was €22 and was excellent water is €4 for a small bottle. The BILL total €289.50 check below and just to remind...
