Extremely Disappointing Experience — Not Worth the Hype

We had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant, which left us both surprised and frustrated — particularly given the display of a Michelin plaque at the entrance, which implies a certain standard of excellence.

Firstly, we waited over an hour for our mussels. We politely inquired three times, each time being told they were coming “right away.” In the end, the mussels never arrived at all, and only after more than an hour were we told they hadn’t even been cooked. We left the restaurant hungry and quite confused.

Secondly, the communication was difficult, as our server did not speak English. While we understand that language barriers can happen, the situation became problematic when we ordered salads and olives — and received something entirely different. Mistakes happen, but there was no effort to clarify or correct.

What truly left us shocked, however, was the response from the manager. When we calmly asked why the service was so unprofessional and inconsistent — and how a restaurant displaying a Michelin affiliation could allow this — his response was astonishing. He asked, “Did you make a reservation?” We replied that we hadn’t, and he said, essentially, “That’s why.”

To imply that guests without a reservation deserve subpar treatment is, frankly, unacceptable. Hospitality should not be conditional on a booking.

As someone who lives in Spain and travels frequently — including many visits to Ibiza — this experience was sadly one of the worst. I’ve never before encountered such a lack of professionalism and disregard for guests. Unfortunately, it reflects a broader trend we’ve noticed in recent years: a decline in service standards in Ibiza, where attitude seems to have replaced genuine hospitality.

I cannot recommend this establishment, and I hope the management reflects seriously on what kind of experience they want their guests to have — whether or not they...

We are coming here since 4 years. We always had a good time and the service was good and friendly. Yesterday for the first time we felt so not welcome and uncomfortable somewhere.

The service this time was horrible, from the moment we stepped in. We would have left immediately if we wouldn’t have given our credit card during the reservation.

The reason was probably that we came with our one year old baby. And this place is too cool for babies and kids or they immediately assumed that a family doesn’t spend as much money as others.

The waitress was the most antipathetic and unfriendly I ever met. She came twice to ask if I was ready to order while my husband was not yet here. She seemed so pissed when I said no. After that, she intentionally ignored us and we couldn’t place our order. Not one smile, not one stop to ask if everything is alright or if we need anything. When asking this price range, the minimum is to take care of the customers. The worst part was when she took my plate away when I was literally still eating. Never a thank you or a you’re welcome.

We asked to talk to the manager who apologized and said that that evening was very tensed because they were fully packed and two staff members got sick. Ok, but it doesn’t avoid to smile or be friendly. We would fully understand it. We said that we felt more welcome when ordering the rice with lobster and a bottle of champagne but he answered that he doesn’t work for money. Unfortunately they don’t work neither for sympathy nor to make us have a good time.

The overall atmosphere was indeed quite tensed and not friendly. You could see how the staff was unhappy. The reaction to our honest talk with the manager was also disappointing.

The restaurant is perfectly located with a brilliant view and the sunset is beautiful. There was nothing to say about the food, they keep the quality since years and it was...

The food is good, well chosen and well-made. We had the bravas, bombes de sepia and ensaladilla together with the seafood paella. Portions are small however quality is good. But for me that’s as far as the goodness goes.

We were made to wait at the door in front of the kitchen for 10 minutes. Very awkward trying to wait and not get in the way of the waiters. Service was poor. We had to ask for some help with the menu 4 times. They kept insisting we have to order our wine before the food. There is only 1 girls’ toilet for the whole establishment. It was dirty and there was no running water. Plus the girl before me had a man inside the bathroom with her doing goodness knows what. No one was taking care of this and it’s right in the entrance!! When I commented to the waitress what the situation was, I received a dirty look and a quick excuse. At the end, no one came to ask if everything was ok and about our experience. They were just interested in us paying the bill. Very cold indeed.

This is such a shame as I was super excited to visit this place and had been looking forward to it for such a long time. But I WILL NOT be coming back. No one deserves to be treated this way especially for the price the client is expected to pay. Now I know that the moderator will say something like: oh we’re sorry, we will take note of your comment and hopefully improve bla bla bla. But I just wanted to voice my opinion and hopefully shed some light.

Great disappointment for my second favourite island in...
