El Tiburón — Restaurant in Formentera

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, YOU WILL GET SICK IF YOU EAT HERE.

If i could give this restaurant ZERO stars i would.

Possibly the worst food i have ever eaten and the 2 male staff members including the manager were extremely rude.

I ordered a hamburger and chips as advertised on the menu and received a homemade sausage and vegetable patty which came on a plate with a few chips and one tomato for €19. My food was undercooked and cold. It was not explained on the menu or by the staff that this was not a traditional hamburger with beef or that it did not come with in a bun. When i explained to the manager about how unhappy i was he didnt take the criticism very well and said that it was my personal taste and that we have to pay full price for the food we had not eaten, even tho i had not touched the burger.

My friend also ordered a greek salad for €23 which came without and feta cheese. After the disaster with the burger we thought that maybe this is how they serve the salad. Turns out the couple next to us, also ordered a greek salad and theirs had feta in it. When we confronted the manager again he was rude and said well you still have to pay the full amount. The food quality and the service was truly shocking and has really put a dampener on such a beautiful island.

In the end the bill came to €85 and we feel truly robbed by this restaurant, truly disappointing and saddened by our experience. Do not waste...

My first time in Formentera happened to be the most amazing not only because of the magnificent crystal waters and sandy beaches but due to the fact that we went for lunch with my friends to El Tiburon. First impression seeing the place when coming out of speed boat : this is heaven! The restaurant is on the beach you just walk a few steps up of course barefoot u don't need shoes or fancy outfit, just your stomach empty to eat without tomorrow lol. We were a group of 7 people and ordered many dishes from the impressive menu that were tasteful and in normal portions. My favorites were the anchovies, the surf and turf, the vitello tonnato and the salmon tartar with avocado and mango. All the foods were delicious and the ingredients so fresh. The service was very good, fast and our waitress was super nice and polite. I didn't even realize how time flew, we were there two hours eating, drinking our sangria and enjoying the view of the sea that looked like a gemstone. Those emerald waters with the calmness of the beach and our yummy lunch indeed are an unforgettable...

I visited today El Tiburon for lunch during my stay in Formentera. I am still shocked about the answer I received from the waiter and one of the manager. I ordered spaghetti with prown and they were far away from a dish such place should be offer in the menu. They were super cooked and not at all tasty. They were cold and seemed to be cooked 3 days ago. The worst is the answer I got when I first politely said the pasta was not meeting my expectation. The waiter told me 'You are Italian that is why you don't like it. We cannot change your dishes just because of your taste. "This beautiful locsted place is quite price that is fine if at least food quality and service were at the level. It was disappointing the way they handled the situation because if the dish could not be changed (as stated) they could at least considered to offer a different solution. I am super disappointed to have experienced this horrible experience. I hope they will behave differently with the next similar case Anna...
