El Rincon del pirata — Restaurant in Fuencaliente de la Palma

Awful place. Ordered one portion grilled cuttle fish and papas arrugadas. Poor gastronomic experience. Cuttlefish was hastily fried a little on a pan and tasted absolutely of nada. Order was misunderstood, so we got 2 portions of this no nothing. Bill was the highest we have encountered so far for a light lunch. 30,20 Eur!!! We have eaten more or less the same other places with excellent kitchen and ambience for the same amount or less. Not recommended AT ALL. May be in high season it will get better.....hopefully. This was a disaster and absolutely a total waste...

Overall solid experience, cute little tropical-vibe-hut and terrace.

-20min wait at 14:30 on an August in Monday -Staff focused on work, not overly chatty but effective. -Food is a-ok, would perhaps not rate it super highly but it did the job for the area. The portion for the white fish was a tad on the small side and only came with a lil’ bit of lettuce and a tomato slice. We loved this little kiosk, simple but super with some of the friendliest staff we encountered on the island. The selection of food is good, freshly prepared and tasty. We particularly liked the fish croquettes, garlic prawns and the huge, fresh mixed salad. The bar looks down to the lovely cove beach of Punta Larga, good music and a relaxed atmosphere - we went back a week later when back in the area and certainly recommend, eg after a visit to the Lighthouse and Salines of...
